Regrets

-5 Years Later-
There is a woman with pink and brown hair walking through a snowy forest looking for a place to stay for the night. She was beginning to get really cold thus it made sense to stop somewhere to rest and warm up. Fortunately she sees a boy with blonde hair that ends in red tips with bright red eyes. He was swinging a katana repeatedly as if to build up muscle, though he soon hears snow crunch behind him and swings around in takes a defensive position before seeing the woman standing behind him before saying very apologetically.
Kyojuro:"I'm sorry about that ma'am. Is there anything I can help with?"
The woman begins typing on her scroll before showing it to the boy.
Neo:"Hello, my name is Neo. I'm sorry for interrupting but I was wondering if you knew of a place to go to for the night?"
Kyojuro:"Actually my master should've recently returned. I can take you there I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you stayed with us for the night."
Kyojuro then showed her to the town all the way up to the building Kyojuro lived. Upon opening the door he is greeted by the smell of food that his master was cooking. Then a voice sound of saying.
(Y/n):"Right on time Kyojuro. Food is just about ready."
At this Neo was in shock. That voice seemed so familiar but it couldn't be, could it? She walked into the kitchen to see a man with long hair with his back to her. At this Kyojuro then says.
Kyojuro:"Oh master this is our guest Miss Neo."
(Y/n) then turns to her before saying.
(Y/n):"Long time no see, Neo."
She had a face of shock that turned into burning anger as she walked over and slapped him so hard he fell over. He was then staring up from the ground to see Neo staring down angrily. At this the two boys jumped between the two as (Y/n) slowly picked himself up as Kyojuro looked on in shock.
(Y/n):"I uh I deserved that."
Neo:"You left everyone without even so much as a goodbye you dick!"
(Y/n):"Neo look I..."
Neo:"Save your excuses! I don't care. If this is really what you wanted then so be it."
She then saw (Y/n) coughing rather violently for a bit, before moving his hand away to show a little blood. At this everyone looked shocked until Neo's face went from anger to worry as she walked over to him and gave him a tight hug prompting her to ask.
Neo:"(Y/n). Are you okay? I've missed you friend."
(Y/n):"I'll be fine, just pushed myself a little too hard on my last trip."
Neo:"You need to come back to Vale."
(Y/n):"Kyojuro go to your room and get ready for bed."
Kyojuro:"But..."
(Y/n):"No buts. Go to bed."
Kyojuro:"Yes master."
After his student had gone upstairs he then says to Neo with sadness tracing his face.
(Y/n):"I can't face them again Neo."
Neo:"Why do you act like you failed them?"
(Y/n):"Because I did I couldn't protect my friends and they died. I don't deserve to be in there presence."
Neo:"Is that what you honestly think? That's incredibly selfish, you had people that love and care about you and were ready to help you when you were at your lowest. Yet you left. You ran away, Ruby convinced her sister to wait and try to remember you. Because she knew how much you cared and loved her sister, but as days turned to months and months to years, Yang still couldn't remember, not with you gone. Everyone else still pleads and hopes that there friend is alive and will come back home."
(Y/n) is just taking this in as his head hangs low and he feels immense guilt. Neo continues on by saying.
Neo:"Look, you are my best friend and I think you have the right to do what you want. I just know I remember having a talk where you confided in me that you never really felt you had a family and I felt awful for you. Then I see it firsthand how much these people cared for you, you had a family the whole time. You just couldn't see it through all your emotions because you just wouldn't let anyone in to help. Then you abandoned them, like they meant nothing to you. Like I said, if this is what you want just say so, but don't drag others down with especially not that child."
There is dead silence tears slowly flow from (Y/n)'s eyes before he feels a hand on his shoulder and hears.
Neo:"You should really go see your father. He's been broken up ever since you left. Seeing you and having you around would give him much needed peace. Just a thought, if you want I can take you there."
(Y/n) through tears manages to say.
(Y/n):"You're right. I'm sorry. I'll make sure the boys pack up in the morning and we'll head back home."
Neo smiles brightly and hugs her friend as he succumbs to his guilt and cries heavily as he repeats.
(Y/n):"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
Unbeknownst to the two was that they were being watched by Kyojuro who felt awful for his teacher as he had never seen him so broken up ever before.
