"So you're going to his house again?" Alice asked me as we drank our coffee outside of the café. It was Saturday morning, and the weather was starting to get cloudy.

Maybe it'll storm later, I thought happily.

"Yes?" I said, answering Alice "Brody has band practice tonight, so I thought I'd watch."

Alice nodded, sipping her latte. I shivered. It was getting cold. I pulled my fuzzy jacket closer, threw away my empty cup, and hugged Alice.

"I'll see you later bae," I smiled at her.

Alice dramatically blew a kiss to me. "Bye shawty."

I made my way across the street to Rodrick's house. Morning snow crunched under my boots. Something caught my ear.

I paused. Squinting, I saw a group of girls approaching me behind me.

"Hey!" One of them called. "Brody's girlfriend!"

I started walking to them. "Yeah..?"

When we met, I recognized the trio as a group of girls from school. They all looked the same, and were all on cheer team.

"Sorry, we didn't want to tell you this, but," one of them said "but Brody and Hannah have been seeing each other."

I furrowed my brow. "Wait, wait, wait," I stuttered. "What? I don't even know you guys."

Another one of them said, "Yeah, we know, but we saw Brody screwing her in the locker room Thursday after school."

I gulped. "No, Brody was making up work that day, he told me so,"

The girls glanced at each other. "Look," one said sympathetically "We're just telling you what we saw. We're sorry."

She leaned forward and gave me a quick hug, before turning around and continuing back from where they came.

When I got to Rodrick's, he was outside sitting on his roof. He looked down and saw me.

"Oh, hey y/n." he said, yawning. "I just woke up."

His hair was messier than usual and he was in a baggy t shirt and sweatpants.

"Here, I'll be right down," he said, opening his bedroom window and climbing through. Next thing I knew the front door was opened and he welcomed me in. I thanked him and shuffled through. My mind was racing with what those girls just told me.

Rodrick and I made our way to his room and shut the door. I threw myself on his bed and tried to put on a smile.

"Am I the first one here?" I asked, looking around.

Rodrick nodded, sitting on a beanbag chair on the floor. "The others are always late," he laughed.

I coughed out a fake laugh, leaning into the pillows and trying not to cry. I would wait for Brody and talk to him about it. I took out my phone and texted him.

when are you getting to rodrick's?

I waited. Rodrick looked like he was already falling asleep again. I felt my phone vibrate and I checked it. From Brody:

Just got here

Why won't he turn off his autocap already? I thought. Lowercase looks better.

I heard the door open downstairs and Rodrick yawned again.

"Up here," he called.

We heard footsteps and Brody entered with two other guys.
