Where was he? It was the last day of school. He promised he'd be here. She thought. Thursday was when they last met before going for Literature.

Despite how perfect she saw the love of her life, he did have one flaw, something that had irritated her. This flaw was nothing but using his phone in class.

She desperately hoped day after day that he would quit this obnoxious habit so one day she wouldn't have to feel alone, not getting replies if his phone was confiscated by the school.

For someone who uses his phone alot, he was sure taking alot of time to reply to her messages. She thought biting the bottom of her lip.

She turned on her last seen on Whatsapp a few days ago so she could approximate how long it would take to get a reply. But this time she couldn't see the time below his name. She had saved him as "nicholas 🦝🍬" . Her excuse of naming that was because his nickname was ricola, a candy that was used to relieve sore throat. The raccoon was because that was his favorite animal. But her friends often joked that there had been a different theory for the second emoji.

She tapped her feet impatiently. It had been 20 minutes since she had been waiting. Her friends had already left. She was on her own. Well not exactly alone - she was with Taylor Swift in her airpods.

Students were filing out of the gate. She looked around frantically. Should I go home? Or wait a few minutes longer?

Her playlist was on its second loop after all. Or was it that she just listened to too little music?

Anyway, Nicholas' friend had just walked past her, acknowledging her presence with a raise of his eyebrow. Just as she switched to a different playlist and slipped her hand in her skirt pocket, a slender finger tapped her shoulder. She turned around and she saw him standing right in front of her. "Shall we?" He asked, before gripping her hand and making her way to Seletar Mall. All anger replaced by confusion of how hot and sweaty he looked, she decided not to say anything but nodded her head.
