Here I am, the silk sheets are warm and comforting, wrapped around my body making me feel like someone is hugging me. The moonlight is hitting my face, and I can't help but notice my owl, Noctus, sleeping in his cage. I can't believe it, after a year of trying I finally arrived there.
I check the clock on the wall on my right and see that it is only four o'clock in the morning and, because breakfast starts at eight, I could go back to sleep, but I wasn't able to, the adrenaline from being here was just too much and I decided to go to the common room and explore it, so that I could see how it actually feels to be in it in real life.
I could have scripted that I remembered what the castle was like, but I stupidly thought that I could just learn by myself. I would soon learn that it was a big mistake.
When I finally saw the common room I was excited, I couldn't believe it, the fire was warming everything up perfectly, which gave a homey sense to the room.
As I examined the room some more I saw a figure sitting on the couch, his red hair lit perfectly with the red light of the fire, I couldn't see a lot, but I could notice that he was wearing a blue sweater, and it hit me when he turned around to see me.
I could see his golden freckles and his beautiful Hazel eyes, it couldn't be anyone else. I looked down and saw a big "G" on his sweatshirt, now I was sure, it was George Weasley.
" Are you okay, potter? you seem like you've seen a ghost" he said while giggling, I couldn't believe it, I was twice as ecstatic when seeing him, so much that I run up to him, on the couch, sat down, and hugged him, he was startled at first, but then hugged me back.
His scent was exactly like I imagined it, firewood mixed with old books and gunpowder, you know the one that they use for fireworks. I knew I was probably gonna smell this in the amortentia later in the year, so I decided to remember it.
As I pulled away from him he looked at me with a concerned look.
" are you okay? did something happen?" he asked.
" Yeah, I just had a nightmare and thought of the worst" I looked at him, who hugged me again to reassure me he was okay.
Obviously I was lying, I had made this lie up from when I first learned about shifting, I couldn't tell him that I had shifted There, not yet.
