"Who's next?" Vanberg asked. Mark raised his hand and without any further questioning he went to the finish line. After the countdown, he started running, little did he know, something worse was about to happen...
'Pft, these shots are easy! Basketball helps with jumps and ducks. I can see the end- why- uh- I can't move! Argh!' Mark could not move himself. His shoe lace was stuck in between the planks of the wooden flooring. "Oh this is the issue," he said and knelt down to unlatch the showlace as fast as he could. "I-its not working, I-I'll just remove my shoe," He could wait but the Obsidian shots won't. He couldn't dodge the shot and it scraped across his chest. "ARGH!"
That shout was loud enough to get everyone worried. "K-kat, what was that? WAS IT MARK?" Lily exclaimed. Kat too got worried. Cassandra on the other end fell white in fear.
Mark was stuck there unable to move, and another shot came in to attack, he couldn't dodge that either.
"M-Mark?!" Cassandra called but no one answer. Vanberg let out a snicker and said, "Announcement! Mark Davies has been eliminated. One game and he's done already! Haha! Abyss! Open your doors for him-"
"NO WAIT!" Cassandra told him.
"What?"
"I-I'll use my wish!"
"For what?"
"To- save him,"
"One wish, to save a friend, hmm,"
"STOP THINKING ABOUT IT! HE'S GOING TO DIE IF YOU WASTE ANYMORE TIME!"
"Alright, you'll be left with two wishes then. I COMMAND FORCES OF GLOOM, DEATH AND DOOM TO LET A WISH TO FREE MARK FROM DEATH PASS!"
Huge winds started blowing and Mark's body was carried out. Kat and Lily immediately followed it out of the Obsidian Classroom and Cassandra was left. "Go ahead, do your task," Vanberg told her. Cassandra was already quite short and could do dodge the head shots easily, she managed to reach the end and hit the buzzer. Her main concern now was whether she saved Mark in time... Or was she too late.

At the lodge...
The kids took Mark to the lodge as soon as that stupid game had finished. They asked for a first aid kit to treat themselves and Mark.  "How did this happen?" Lily asked while locking their room's door. "I- don't know! He couldn't move for some reason," Cassandra said while tears were pouring out of her eyes and Kat by her side to comfort her while Lily took care of the aids.
"Cass calm down, there isn't much bleeding." Kat told her but her tears wouldn't stop.
After, some time, the dressing was done and Kat was there by Mark while the girls rested in the other room.
"You good?" Lily asked Cassandra.
"No,"
"Why are you so worried?"
"B-because you guys had finished the game and wouldn't know what's going on on the opposite side and- and since I was the one who could see what was going on knew Mark had stopped moving but I didn't find it suspicious and so-"
"Cass, calm down... Kat has said this and so will I. It is not your fault, you just didn't know what had happened, it was all sudden, ok?"
"But if I had known, he would have been consious by now! And that Vanberg guy made my wish so late-"
"Wait, you used your wish?"
"Y-yeah?"
"Cass, you used your wish to save your friend and you are still blaming youself?"
"..."
"Exactly, stop the guilt drama and take some rest. You've been crying since morn,"
"O-ok,"

Soon after Mark regained his consciousness and sat up on his bed to see Lily by his side and Kat just leaving the room. Lily looked up to see Mark awake, "Oh hey! You're awake. How are you feeling?"
"The usual, but I do have a bit of pain, nothing a bit of fresh breeze can't fix!"
Lily was astonished how fresh Mark could look even after walking up from a wound.
"Thank goodness, you wouldn't believe how much Cassandra cried for you since morning, she kept on ranting about what if she couldn't save you, what if she used her wish a bit too la- I shouldn't have said that-" Lily covered her mouth instantly after she said that.
"SHE WHAT?!"
