In the middle of the night, the alarm of a jewelry store was sounded. Practically the entire block could hear it. But so could a certain red and blue-clad vigilante.
Thief 1: "Alright boys, if we get these shiny stones out before the cops get here, then we're gonna have a hell of a payday".
???: "You know those don't belong to you right".
Thief 2: "What the, who said that"!
All three thieves looked to the ceiling to see Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: "Hey there"!
Spider-Man dropped down from the ceiling and punched the first thief and kicked the one behind him.
The tingling in his head made him leap to the wall. Avoiding the crowbar that was about to hit him as he dashed off the wall and tackled the thief to the ground. Using his momentum to hurl the thief into the wall behind the counter.
A thief came in from behind with a baseball bat and swung. Only for Spider-Man to flip over him and kick off his back. Making the thief smack his body on the wall while also sending Spider-Man flying towards the other thief.
The thief tried to punch Spider-Man as he came toward him. But Spidey not only manages to deflect his attack but also wrap his legs around his neck. He then spun on the thief's neck and used his momentum that sent the thief flying outside where he collided with the side of a car.
A victorious Spider-Man stood triumphantly and said:
Spider-Man: "Let that be a lesson to you-ahg...just...just don't do it again, okay"!
Jaune internally berated himself while groaning under his mask. He seriously needs to work on the banter. He just sounded like a nervous kid just now!
Spider-Man: *sighs* 'Whatever, bad guys are down, robbery is stopped, and I am out of here'.
Shortly after, the police arrived at the scene to find the three thieves piled on top of each other in the jewelry store. And Spider-Man was already long gone.
At the Cyan house, Spider-Man landed and stuck to the wall where the window was and opened it up before crawling inside.
Once in his room, Jaune pulled off his mask and took off his costume to change into his pajamas. Sure it was risky to sneak out, but it was the only time he can change into his suit and go out into the city at night.
And tonight can be considered a great night in his books. He had stopped four robberies, an assault, and even returned a cat to its home.
This was a good night's work in his book. But now, it's time for him to catch some much-needed sleep. He and Alice have their first day at VHU tomorrow after all.
Climbing into his bed, Jaune made himself comfortable and drifted off to sleep.
...For only ten seconds
Alice knocks loudly on the door to his room and yelled.
Alice: "Jaune, it's time to get up"! "It's our first day today"!
Wait what?!
First day? But it was still the middle of the night!
Sitting up from his bed, Jaune looked out the window, and to his absolute horror, the sun could be seen rising in the distance.
How could this be?!
Jaune quickly looked from the window to his alarm clo-...oh wait...he had smashed it to bits. So he doesn't have an alarm clock anymore.
But that's not important, what's clear is that he had stayed awake a lot longer than he should've. No, HE HAD STAYED UP THE ENTIRE NIGHT! Now he has to go the whole day after having no sleep whatsoever! What in Oum's name is he going to do?!
