Today is the day. The day she was so nervous for. But she shouldn't be, right? She had done this once before but on a much smaller scale. At her last wedding, she didn't have anyone there except the officiant. What was making it worse, where there were a ton of people rushing around. People were setting things up, putting up the trellis archway, decorating it with Zuala's favorite flowers. There were people setting up chairs and tables, people helping Yasha with her hair, her makeup. Once her makeup was on, her hair was washed and done, they helped her into her dress. Her hair was done into braids, pinned, and tied back. Her makeup was very subtle and natural, mostly covering any blemishes. Her dress was long, but not long enough for the clumsy woman to trip over. It was an A-line with a deep V. The fabric was silky and grey, with very subtle lightning designs along the base of the dress crawling upwards slightly. Her waist is accentuated by a storm-lord symbol charm. Needless to say, she was nervous.
In a room just down the hall held Yasha's soon-to-be wife. Beauregard Lionette. She was nervous too, though she was better at dealing with the anxiety. She was giving orders on where things are meant to go, how things were meant to be set up, and signing things. Finally, her friends convinced her to get ready too. They rushed her off to her room, sitting her in a chair. People whizzed over, doing her hair and makeup. Her hair was freshly shaved, the longer parts of her hair were tied into many braids. Her makeup was also very subtle, covering her own blemishes. Soon she was rushed over to the full-body mirror. She is stripped, practically naked, people quickly pulling clothes on her. She ended up wearing a form-fitting tux, she chose a thin blue fabric, with silver hemlines. She was wearing a cobalt soul bowtie, with a cobalt soul pin on the tie knot. Her neck was adorned with a jade necklace. Her mother walked in and gasped. Beau turned to her, seeing her little brother TJ.
She kneeled down, him running into her arms. She gave him the biggest hug, kissing his head. Suddenly, Beau began tickling the young man. He squirmed in her arms, laughing.
"Hey, little dude. I'm happy you made it. Okay, you know what your job is?" Beau asked the young boy, by this time he was about 8 or 9.
"Yeah, Beau! I got this! I've been practicing." TJ looks around, making sure his mom wasn't listening. He soon whispered to his elder sister, "When can I join the monastery??" His voice was filled with excitement and urgency.
Beau winked at her little brother and slipped him a note. He quickly ran off and down the hall to Yasha's room. He plopped down with Yasha and read the note. Back in Beau's room the siblings mother was about to run after the little boy when Beauregard stopped her, putting her hand on her mother's shoulder.
"It's okay mom, I told him to go hang out with Yasha. You stay here with me, we can chat and my friends will help you get ready." Beau tried to convince, thinking it would fail, shocked to see she succeeded. Her mother and she had a long chat while Beau finished getting ready.
~time skip to the ceremony~
It was time. The lovers were sweating, everyone was seated. They chose the perfect spot, the woods. They had found a beautiful clearing not much more than a year prior, the trees were tall and covered with autumn leaves. The ground was covered with plenty of grass, still green but clearly starting to die with the season's change. A few leaves were scattered on the ground, but the ground was mostly clear. Two rows of most uncomfortable chairs. Both rows are for family, friends, and coworkers alike. Soon the small band of musicians kicked up. First down the aisle was their friend's child, Luc.
Luc wore his cute white shirt and black shorts with a matching bowtie and suspenders. He had a basket filled with flower petals, slowly walking down the aisle, he scattered the petals. Once at the front he turned left and sat with his father. Next down the aisle was the kind, tall man. Cad stood under the archway, he bowed his head in respect to the guests. Next down the aisle was the tux-clad woman, with her mentor Dyren. Beau held Dyren's arm, as they guided Beau down the aisle. Once reaching the end of the aisle, Dyren turns to take their seat. Next down the aisle were Beau's bride's maids. First Jester, a knee-length pink dress. She had subtle make-up, hair curled with front pieces tied and pinned back, with flowers pinned in with it. She looked stunning. Once at the front, she stood next to Beau. Next was Caleb, he was wearing a long black coat, a nice white shirt, a black tie, his hair done similarly to Jester's. Even with the same flowers, he for once was clean, now smelling of flowers and cologne. Once at the front he stood next to Yasha, smiling at the tall woman.
The next few down the aisle, in the following order, were:
Fjord, Kingsley, Veth, and then Essek. Fjord and Veth on Beau's side, Kingsley and Essek on Yasha's. With that, the ceremony began.
~After the Ceremony~
They went through all the motions of the reception, the dinner, the speeches, the cake cutting, the toasts, the dances. You know it all. The reception led late into the night, with many of their close friends absolutely shit-faced. They helped all their friends into the hotel, the two newlyweds making their way home.
