Family One Shot

A Day to Remember ; Part 3

Hayley slowly stirred for the second time that day, this time it felt much different. Her head felt extremely fuzzy and cloudy, and it felt like she wasn't a big kid anymore. She slowly rubbed her eyes and looked around to see where she had been moved to while she was unconscious.
The room appeared to be a room she had never seen before, it was a gentle shade of pastel green and there were pretty stickers all over the walls. The floor was a soft white with multiple different fur rugs covering various sections of the floor as well. Across from her, she noticed a small bed that looked to have to ability to have rails on the sides of it, with the covers being a light red to contrast the room. Next to the bed seemed to be a chest of toys with different ones for all ages 1-8. There was even a small dollhouse with figures already surrounding it.
She looked at where she had been placed. She was being cradled by multiple different big pillows as well as a few weighted blankets and soft pillows. Also, noticing just outside of her little chamber of pillows was a group of stuffed animals.
She whimpered softly, remembering that before here, she had been with Danayjah. Just as tears filled the girl's eyes, Danayjah walked into the room to check on her and noticed, not only was the girl awake, she was also on the brink of crying.
"Hey hey, don't cry, it's okay," Danayjah said as she picked her up "it's okay, I'm here now".
Danayjah slowly rubbed the girl's back in hopes to stop the incoming tantrum. Slowly, Hayley calmed down and was only occasionally sniffling as she laid her head against Danayjah's shoulder. She gently carried the girl out of the room and into the living room again where everyone seemed to be. CC and Ash were playing with blocks in the corner while Leo and Jalen were watching a movie on the couch. Danayjah thought it was a better idea to set the girl by Ashy, seeing that he brought the girl immense comfort.
She placed her gently beside Ash and walked to find where her lover, Anna, had gone to. Shyly, Hayley turned and saw a regressed Ash playing with CC as they built a world of blocks in their area. CC saw the hesitation in the girls still and placed a block in front of her, urging her to come and play with them. It worked, as she crawled over and placed said block in a spot she designated was correct.
This went on for a few hours, and soon enough, dinner was started to be made. While CC carried both the little ones to a playpen in the kitchen so they could be watched while cooking, the other started the work process for making the food. The little ones got placed in the playpen and the adults went to work getting the food prepped and ready. Ashy was much more bouncy and energetic than Hayley and was constantly asking to be let out so he could help too. Danayjah finally gave in and grabbed the little guy out so he could help them. While Hayley stayed in the pen and played with the soft blankets and stuffed animals provided. Everyone made their own things, but CC and Danayjah had helped make Dino nuggets and fries for the younger two. Ashy helped to place them onto the tray and helped to place the tray into the oven.
After about 30 minutes, everyone's food was made and it was time to eat. Danyjah walked over to get Hayley out when she noticed the girl was slowly falling asleep. As soon as she lifted the girl away from the fuzzy blankets, she earned many whines and whimpers.
" You can't take another nap sweetie, you'll never sleep tonight if you do, come on, it's dinner time and we made you Dino nuggets" Danayjah said quietly placing the girl in her lap. She assumed the girl would be too small to eat the food by herself, so she tore the nuggets into smaller pieces and gently held them up to Hayley's mouth, encouraging the girl to eat. Slowly she ate all the nuggets and fries as ended up cuddling into Danayjah as she ate her dinner.
To end the night, they all decided that one more movie would be fun. They decided on the first spongebob movie, once again Leo and Jalen cuddled on the couch, Anna and Danayjah were sitting together on the loveseat, and CC took the little one and made a comfy area of blankets and pillows on the floor. Throughout the movie, giggles could be heard from both little ones and you could see the smiles from everyone, knowing they had made it through their first afternoon seeing the little sides. It was around 9:00pm and they all decided that the little ones should sleepover instead of forcing themselves big for the drive home. As Ashy and Hayley eyes started dropping, Danayjah grabbed Hayley and CC picked Ashy and carried them back to the green room. Gently placing them both into the small beds in the room, they both placed the bars up so they don't fall out while they sleep. After kissing the little ones on their foreheads and walking out. The two drifted into a peaceful tonight of sleep.
It had really been a day to remember
