What do you call it?
When the room is spinning
Eyes are heavy
slowly drifting away
My shirt is lifted
Your mouth claims my chest
without permission
We kissed before
Does that make it okay?
What do you call it?
When an invitation
turns out to be an innocent sleepover
not wanting to be alone
I let you sleep in my bed
As the world goes dark
Your hand slips under my shirt
Claiming my breast
Fingers pinching my nipple
Your excuse was
"it was too difficult to resist"
What do you call it?
When at the age of 9
Innocence was stripped away
by the hands of someone you thought was family
What do you call it?
When courage was found
Statements come up
'
Don't tell anyone'
'Just try to forget about it'
'You allowed it to happen'
'You didn't say no'
'You wanted it'
Drown every bit of self worth
What do you call that?
Perseverance
