"Steve," I call him. He comes striding towards me. "Yes, sir," he says.

"Tell me about Jennifer's whereabouts. Where'd she went? Who she met with? Who talked to her? Everything."

"First, she went to the Porter house..." Steve starts telling me. "And then around 2:30, she left and asked me to take her to some Support and Sustain Therapy Center."

So she found out about Sophie in the Porter house. But how?

"Did you happen to see her talk to someone else other then Angela?"

"There was a guy with them, too. This is all I saw. I couldn't hear them talking."

A guy? It can be Christian. Maybe. If there wasn't anyone, then is it Angela and Christian who blurted out everything. But how would they know about this matter? Angela knows about Sophie. Christ! This is all so confusing.

"What did she do in the therapy center?" I query again.

"Mrs. Ryan, was talking to a woman, who seemed to know ma'am very well."

That's Sophie. Shit! She must have said something. Hyped everything up to her.

"After having a little talk with that woman, Mrs. Ryan came back to car, devasted. She was lost when I asked her where to head next. And then after a long pause, she asked me to take to the Aurora's cafe."

I shut my eyes tight and pinch the bridge of my nose. "Thanks," I mutter and stride back in to the house.

That's enough information I got. I don't know where Jen must have gone.

Oh god! Help me.

............

Jennifer walks miles and miles away from Brendon's property, sobbing quietly over the footpath. Eventually, her steps halt due to exhaustion. She breathes heavy and decides to call for a cab. She books a cab on her phone and waits for it. Within few minutes, the cab halts in front of her and she gets going to Wilshire.

It's 8:30 in the night. Angela opens the door, to find Jennifer standing at it. Angela looks at her sobbed face and feels bad for her.

"Oh! Jen!" Angela mumbles.

Jennifer comes in and Angela takes her in her arms. Jennifer hugs her back and cries softly on her shoulder.

"It's okay," whispers Angela, moving her hand over Jennifer's head. "Honey! You're going to be fine."

Angela brings her in and makes her sit on the sofa. She gets some water and tissues for Jennifer. She sniffles and wipes her tears.

"Did you talk to Brendon?" Asks Angela. Jennifer nods, sniffling. "What did he say then?"

"He said...that he was just trying to help her. She's sick and she needs treatment, all this reasons he was giving me." She pauses and closes her eyes to calm herself down. "He lied to me. All this time, he kept lying to me and I, like a fool kept believing in whatever he said."

Jennifer covers her face with her hands. "I'm so stupid. So stupid," she says. Her voice muffles under her hands.

"I'm so sorry, Jen," mutters Angela. She's literally feeling bad for whatever happened with Jennifer.

"Why are you sorry?" Jennifer places her hand on Angela's.

"Y'all had a fight today, because we told you about Brendon seeing Sophie discreetly. If we---" Jennifer interrupts her.

"You didn't do anything wrong. Some day or the other, this was suppose to happen," says Jennifer. "I knew that something's up with Brendon and he's not telling. But still I waited that one day he might tell me. But no. Even this time, I get to know it from somebody else instead of him. I never expected this from him. Never."
