The rain was heavy,
My heart was heavy,
My life was heavyThe darkness of the rain engulfed me,
I was encapsulated,
I was flooded,
I was trappedThe raindrops slipped off 'the window like the tears off 'my face,
Like the joy out 'my heart,
Like the blood out 'my wristsThe rain was temporary,
My heart was still heavy,
My life was still heavyThe sun shined on the trees,
But the shade's what engulfed me,
I was encapsulated,
I was flooded,
I was trappedThe birds sung their sweet melodies like the words that hurt me,
Like the times that collapsed me,
Like the people who ruined meThe storm was brutal,
My thoughts were brutal,
My life was brutal,The lightning flashed showing my flaws,
I was encapsulated,
I was flooded,
I was trappedThe thunder roared,
Like my screams again,
Like my cries for help,
Like my long for an endThe chance of snowfall was a way,
A fleeting moment,
An opportunity to take
