Context: Stacey sat on her bed, scrolling through Instagram. She was looking at old photos of her and Toby. She missed Toby but she knew it was over. The thing she missed most of all though, was having someone there for her. No matter what gender they were. She doesn't know what's going on. She feels like she can't tell anyone, but she knows that she can trust Claudia. Without hesitation, she calls her.
"Hey, Stace, What's up?" Claudia asks as she picks up the phone.
"Claud, I need to talk to you. But you have to promise that you'll still be my friend." Stacey answered.
"Yeah, of course I will, you're my best friend." Claudia said sceptically.
"Well, you know how I hugged Kristy when she was late and I was really worried about her?" Stacey asked Claudia.
Claudia replied immediately, "Stace, what are you saying?"
"I'm saying, I think I like Kristy."
"Since when? I thought you were dating Toby?" Claudia questioned her.
"I broke up with him 3 Months ago I-"
"3 Months ago?! What?! Why didn't you tell me?!" Claudia asked. She felt upset, Stacey normally told her everything, "Hey, what about Sam? I thought you liked him."
"Nah, not really, I just didn't want anyone to find out. I mean he's nice but not my type." Stacey said.
"So what? You like girls now?" Claudia asks.
"I guess so, but that's not it. I've been researching about it and the one that fits me, is Pansexual. It's exactly how I feel. So is that ok? Will you still be my best friend?" Stacey asked Claudia, hopefully.
"Of course. It's a bit shocking but it doesn't change anything. I still see you as Stacey, my best friend." Claudia told Stacey.
"Thank you, Claud." Stacey was relived.
"Soooo, you like Kristy now!" Claudia laughed as she teased Stacey.
"Stoppp!" Stacey laughed at Claudia.
They spent 2 more hours talking on the phone. Stacey felt so grateful that she had such an amazing friend. Claudia gave her hope, what if Kristy said yes? She decided she had to tell her.
Kristy🧢
Stacey: Hey
Kristy: Hi?...
Stacey: I need to ask you something
Kristy: Yeah, sure
Stacey: Um, do you like anyone
Kristy: Yeah
Stacey: Can you tell me?
Kristy: No
Stacey: Can you give me a clue?
Kristy: Ok, they're someone in the club
Stacey: Ok so it could be, Mary Anne, Claudia, Dawn, Mallory, Jessi or Me
Kristy: Yeah, it's one of those people
Stacey: I can't be Mary Anne, she's your best friend and it can't be Mallory or Jessi because you wouldn't like anyone who's younger than you. So it has to be either, Claudia, Dawn or Me
Kristy: Well, it's not Claudia or Dawn
Stacey: Wait what?
Kristy: Um, nevermind. Pretend I didn't say anything
Stacey: I like you too
Kristy: Really?
Stacey: Yeah, do you like me?
Kristy: Yeah
Stacey turned off her phone feeling amazing. Kristy liked her! What is she gonna do? She needs to ask her out but not yet. She has to wait for something special.
