I hate the way you take from me
When you smile and bat your eyes.
You look down at me and grin,
Because we both know that you've won.
I have no strength to fight it,
Your will becomes my own.
My wishes don't exist to you
And it seems they never will.
I hate the way you talk to me
When I begin to tell you no.
You turn the love I have for you
Into a gun aimed back at me.
I raise my hands up wearily,
With each word you take a shot
Watching the fight fade from my eyes
And my resistance bleed onto the floor.
We both know that in the end
My only option was defeat.
It seems I'm ever at your mercy
Always falling at your feet.
I hate the way I can't hate you,
I couldn't if I tried.
So in the end,you win again
And I pretend that I obliged
