Sorry this chapter is kinda short but I is a little funny.

“WHAT!?!” Lily yells, “Tell me again, the whole thing!” Why is my best friend so insane?

“Lily! She has already told three times!” Bradey scolds her. She bursts out laughing and falls back onto my bed. I roll my eyes.

“It’s not that funny,” I mutter.

Bradey looks at me like I have two heads. “Not funny? Dude if this wasn’t the third time hearing I would be rolling around with her!”

So yeah, maybe my first week at Taton was funny, FROM SOMEONE ELSE’S PIONT OF VIEW! It’s not my fault I attract crazy people. I lightly slap Lily and she sobers up. “Look, how about we all laugh about this in a year, because right now it’s not funny,” I glare at Lily. She desperately tries to hide the grin creeping onto her face.

“Okay, okay,” She surrenders. Just when I think the worst is over her lips form mischievous smile form. “So… when do we get to meet them?” she says.

“Meet them? As in my friends? Oh no. No. No. No. You hear me?” I point a finger at her, “No.”

She puts on a big pouty face, “Why not?” she whines.

“Yeah why not?” Bradey adds in.

“Because,” I sigh, “I said so.”

“Butt face!” Lily throws a pillow at me.

“Hey!”

“Hey what? You deserve that!” she pouts again.

“No I don’t!” I protest.

“Please, you get new friends and you’re not sharing!”

“Girls, girls,” Bradey interrupts, “There is an easy way to settle this.”

“Like what?” I cross my arms.

He flashes me a smile, “Simple, just vote. And since I vote we meet them, we meet them. Everything is settled.” I snort. I just made friends, and these guys will embarrass me, and my new friends will probably embarrass me, and I don’t need embarrassment on both ends.

“Yay! We are meeting Will’s friends!” Lily jumps up. She skips around the room and plops back on the bed and stares at me.

“What?” I ask. Why is she staring at me like that.

“Call them. We are meeting them right? So tell them to meet you at the park or something.” She says.

I shake my head, “It’s not that simple. You can’t meet them all at once. They don’t all talk to each other,” I respond, crossing my arms.

“Okay, then tell me who we can meet,” she says.

“Well there is Theo and Jenell, then Nathan and maybe Ali, Valerie and Kiera, or Dylan,” I say. I really hope they pick Theo and Jenell.

Bradey answers, “Jenell and Theo.”

I sigh in relive. “Alright let me text Theo.” I pick up my phone and type, “park?”.

I minute later he responds, “sure? do i want 2 no?”.

I laugh, “no, defiantly not”. I look up to see Lily and Bradey curiously staring at me. “To the park!” I exclaim. They break out in smiles.

“Wait she really didn’t tell you?” Lily laughs. Theo and Jenell shake their heads laughing along.

“How come you didn’t tell ‘em Will? It’s my favorite story!” Bradey ruffles my hair. I sit in a tree with my other four friends, while they share “Willa’s Embarrassments 101”.

“No Lily, as it turns out I have not told Theo and Jenell my entire life story in the week I have known them.” I roll my eyes. That makes them laugh even more.

“Oh my god it’s so funny. Lily dared her to order a basket of greasy fries at this fancy restaurant we were at,” Bradey gets out through laughing.

“So she asks this waiter with this crazy accent for a basket of grease, because she got so choked up she forgot to finish the order!” Lily giggles. I face plant my head in my hand.

“So the waiter gives her this insane look and goes to get her order!” Bradey continues.

“When he comes back, he has this gross smelling bowl of grease! And Willa is all ‘uhh… thanks?’ and he just gives her a spoon and practically runs away!” Lily bursts out. “So then she just sits there with this spoon in her hand and a pile of grease in front of her, when a huge group of kids from our school walk in!” I groan and slouch down. I knew I would die of embarrassment one day, but I wish it wasn’t this story.

“So this one guy that sometimes we talk to shouts out, ‘Willa is gonna eat a bowl of grease!’ and all of his guy friends run over to our table to watch!” Lily goes on.

“Boys…” I mutter.

“And she is like ‘me? Grease? No!’ but it is too late. They start chanting ‘EAT EAT EAT’ and she does it! She ate this huge spoonful of grease! All of the dudes laughed and walked back to their table!” Bradey tries to not laugh. Theo and Jenell are tearing up they are laughing so hard.

“And Willa just sits there shaking. Like literally shaking all over.  And then the waiter guy comes back. And her mom asks for the check, because she got two tables so us “kids” could eat alone, and her eyes practically burst out of her head when she sees it!”

“The grease cost 15 dollars!” Lily yells, almost falling out of the tree.

“Okay! Okay, okay! They get it! I ate fifteen dollar grease! Get over it!” I exclaim. God, nothing could make this more embarrassing! They continue to laugh and I hop out of the tree.

“Willa?” a voice says. I spoke to soon.

Before he can come to the laughing tree I run over to him, trying to avoid what might make this kill your best friend’s social life day. “Hey Dylan!” I try to say as casual as possible. I let out a nervous laugh.

Obviously he doesn’t buy it because he raises an eyebrow at me, “Do I want to know what’s over there?” he asks.

“NO!” I yell a little too forcefully, and loud.

“Um, okay? It’s obviously not a good time, so you will have to wait until Monday to talk to this,” he gestures to himself cockily. I roll my eyes and sigh in relief.

“In your dreams!” I say. He chuckles and walks away. I scramble back to my still laughing friends.

Obviously my little conversation did not go unnoticed though, because Lily calms herself enough to talk, “Who was that?” she asks.

Theo decides to answer for me, “That is Dylan, Willa’s boyfriend!” he says, a goofy smile stuck to his face.

“No, he is most defiantly not my boyfriend,” I say, shooting daggers in his direction.

“Yeah, but you wish he was!” he sticks his tongue at me. I imitate throwing up and the entire tree erupts in laughter again.

“Dyaln, as in, quarterback and captain Dylan?” Lily questions.

“No, Dylan as in, one eyed pirate Dylan,” I say, putting a hand on my hip. Bradey lets out a chuckle and looks at his phone.

“My mom is at your house, me and Lily got to go,” he says.

“Alright, are you guys coming next week?” I ask.

“Why not? It’s not like I have anything better to do,” Lily smirks.

“Jerk,” I roll my eyes.

“Yeah, we will be there,” Bradey says confirming with me. I smile.

“Awesome, Lily can redecorate my attic.”

“We’ll see,” Lily calls from behind her as the two head back to the house.

I turn to Theo and Jenell, “See you guys Monday!” and run to catch up with the two walking away.

“Wait!” I here Theo call from behind me.

“Yeah?” I turn around.

“At the party yesterday, are you in the club?” Theo asks, “Like, did you complete initiation?”

I remember the party last night and smirk, “Why don’t you ask George,” I respond, and continue to catch my friends.
