Gajeel's pov

I felt hurt, rejected, angry, ignored, and maybe even sad as I watched her sit with him. They've been sitting and talking together all week long. Levy and Freed. They've been talking about books and Freed is teaching her how to work out complex ruins and I heard that they had been practicing together 

I don't understand what she would even see in him. He's so obnoxious and never shuts up about Laxus. He's like her cheerleaders but for Laxus and more...feminine? I don't know but I don't like how close they've gotten. It's not right.

"Gajeel?" I looked down at my Exeed as he had called my name "you've been staring at Levy and Freed for the past ten minutes and you might break the cup if you squeeze any tighter" I looked down at my hand and realized what he said was true. I dropped the cup on the table with a thud

"Whatever" I mumbled as I looked at the wall and covered my mouth with my hand

"Y'know if you're jealous of Freed why don't you just tell her?" Lily asked and I looked at him flabbergasted

"I am not jealous. The shrimp can hang out with whoever she wants I ain't stoppen 'er" he gave me a stern face and crossed his arms over his chest

"Not jealous? Yeah right" he scoffed "I think that cup would beg to differ and you were staring at Levy the entire time" his arms went up in the air then back down to his sides to make emphasis on what he was saying

"What about me?" I heard a quaint voice ask beside me and when I turned it was none other than the shrimp herself

"Oh hello Levy" Lily said "I was just saying how Gajeel was staring at-" I threw my iron fist at him causing him to go flying backwards into the guilds wall

"Shut yer damn mouth cat!" I yelled at him as I stood to my feet and glared at him

"Um did I miss something?" I looked over at Levy who had a brow creased. I grunted and sat back down with a thump following 

"No, now go back to whatever you were doin'" I said as I looked away from her and to my cat who was standing up and brushing off his pants like nothing had happen

"No? Well I don't think you just punch Lily for no reason" she asked calmly with a slightly amused tone

" I told ya didn't miss anything now go back to flirting with Freed or somethin'" I muttered but I guess I hadn't muttered as quiet as I thought I had

"Flirting? Freed? Gajeel, are you jealous?" she inquired making me go into auto-defence mode

"What? No, why would I be jealous of him?" I had nothing to be jealous about. Like I said shrimp can hang out with whoever she pleases

"Alright I won't push, see you later then" I watched her walk to the guild doors with a wave to everyone and a bright smile on her face and just as she open the door she looked back at me with a light smile and walked out

"She's something, isn't she?" I looked up and saw Freed standing next to me and he was looking at the door Levy had just gone through with his arms crossed

"Sure" I looked away and I just notice Lily sitting next to me

"I feel bad for her though" he said with a sympathetic smile not taking his eyes away from the door but I couldn't help but look up at him confused

"Why so?" I cautiously asked

"Well she loves someone who has caused her pain but he hasn't notice. I would ask her out if it wasn't for that, she's very stubborn. I have tried but she always denied me and it's all because of him" he said calmly. I had a sinking feeling in my gut but felt anger that he had tried to ask out my shrimp
