Chapter Four - Raised to Kill.
A few times a month, Melody was taken out of the orphanage for... something. He didn't remember her being taken out or her being brought back, but he had learned to just know that Melody was safe, and that's all that mattered.
Little did he know, Melody was being raised to kill. He definitely didn't think that little, innocent Melody Pond could possibly be a murderer. And he was right. This Melody could never ever be a murderer, no matter how hard Madame Kovarian tried. But once Melody changed, she would become an entirely different person. Who knew what she could become? She might be a coward, an idiot, anything. Or, she could be a murderer. Everyone just had to hope for the best.
A few times a month, Madame Kovarian would send some people to train Melody. She instructed them not to kill her, no matter what. She needed her to be safe. Otherwise, their plan would never work, and they had planned the plan out extra carefully, and everything would be lost of their plan was ruined. The child had to be protected, at all costs. She was the centre of the plan.
However, though Madame Kovarian had taken her rights, she can't take away her mind. She's planted so many thoughts in Melody's brain, and they have been nourished by the water of her pain. Melody had started not following Madame Kovarian's orders. Madame Kovarian, of course, had a few tricks up her sleeves. Whenever Melody rebelled, Madame Kovarian threatened to send her to the spaceman. The spaceman was one of Melody's weaknesses - she was terrified of the spaceman. If the spaceman was even mentioned, Melody would give in immediately. Nothing could stop Madame Kovarian until Melody had been properly raised to kill.
