"Auuuuch!!" It hurts! It really really hurts!! What have you done? What should I do now? I screamed internally while I was jumping up and down desperately shaking my hand as the pain suddenly became unbearable. To my surprise, the bad smell of the lab was now the least important problem on my mind.

"Oh my God! Sorry! I didn't mean to do that! Are you ok?" Duffy asked taking a step back from the corrosive H2SO4 she had just spilled all over the blue wooden desk in our chemistry lab. Before I've met her I'd never known what is the maxim level of "fakeness" that could fit in a 5'7 16 year-old-girl. Thanks to her, our experiment is now ruined (as well as my left hand).

"What happened there?" Miss Greenwald, our chemistry teacher, asked nervously as she heard the sharp noise made by a Berzelius beaker which had just hit the floor. "Please tell me you didn't spi... Oh, no, no, no! Go to the bathroom and wash your hands as fast as you can and if the pain persists, go to the school nurse. I'm so so sorry! That should never have happened! Oh my gosh!" then she turned her attention to the rest of the class adding: "Please, please, be careful, kids! Chemistry could be very dangerous as i've told you again and again and...".

I could't hear the rest of her always-the-same-speech-about-the-danger-of-chemistry as I was already rushing towards the bathroom. My aching hand was now covered in a wet white clean cloth which i'd just taken from the lab. A very-heavy-from-all-the-books-I-carried sporty bag was hanging low on my healthy arm elbow under my navy trench coat  slowing me down from reaching my destination as soon as I could. My curly dark hair was bouncing up and down mirroring the moving of my feet.

I could picture it in my mind. Duffy standing there, smiling, next to my protection glasses I left on the desk. You must be evil to do something like that, but I sure am not surprised. That wouldn't be the first time I was bullied "accidentally".

Finally, I managed to reach the bathroom let's say "in time" (I couldn't actually move my fingers anymore, but I wasn't complaining. That's not my type. It never was.). Dropping all of my things on the shinny checkered floor, I opened the tap and run my burned hand under the ice cold water. That felt so wonderful I could not even describe it and the pain was almost gone... Until I've heard a strange noise coming from nearby.

I took a step back from the sink and look towards the bathroom stalls. At the end of the hallway, a boy was passionately kissing a wall... That's only if in front of him wasn't a girl or something. Anyway, my only problem was: Why the heck was a boy in the girls bathroom? He should know better that his presence here violates the highschool's code of conduct. Wait a sec... He wasn't any random boy... It was Austin. My eyes went big at the sight. Austin? That Austin? I would recognise his body in a million, his unique hair, his awesome clothing style. It really was him!!! OMG!!

But who was he making out with? His girlfriend? His bestfriend? His girlfriend's bestfriend? Oh, no! No! No! That's not possible... Because that would be me. I am his girlfriend's best friend... It was Lolla the one having her arms around his neck, pulling his hair, it was her devouring his whole face... Hot tears started falling on my cheeks. Why would she do that to me? It was my first week there. She knew how much I loved him. She knew that I like him since we were in kindergarten. And she was my best friend. She WAS my best friend. Our eyes locked for a second when his lips moved back to her neck.

Taking my bag and my coat I started running as fast as I can. I vaguely heard some steps behind me but that didn't stopped me. In the main hallway, two familiar voices started a conversation. "Good job, Lols!" "As always, Duffs!".

And that's how it all started...
