44. Sick Day (4/4)

"Oooooh." Sky cooed as Soarin got out another toy from the box.
"This, is a cow. It goes moooo!" Skylar made an 'o' shape with her mouth which melted Soarin's heart. "How am I supposed to live with you? You're too cute!"
Sky smiled and Soarin put the toy cow back into the box.

Soarin gasped.
"Look at this Sky!" He pulled out a small, cardboard book. He held Skylar closer and opened the book. On the first page, there was a cartoon picture of a black cat. On its belly was a patch of fake fur, Skylar happily reached over for it. Soarin smiled and held the book closer so she could touch it. She made a weird face from the texture.

"You don't like it?" Sky looked at him and pouted. "Okay we'll move on then."
The next picture was a little lamb and it was covered in white curly wool. Skylar smiled once again.
"It looks like you're getting better." Soarin kissed her head and checked his watch. "Well, it's lunch time!" He put the book back and carried Sky downstairs where Dash was making a bottle.

"Hey Sky!" Rainbow held out the bottle and she cooed. "Are you feeling better?"
"Definitely." Soarin said relieved. "She's smiling all the time now."
"Great! This'll be the last time I'm using this then." Rainbow opened the medicine cupboard and pushed Sky's medicine in. Sky started to whine for her bottle.

"Aw. What did mama do?! Did she not give you your bottle?" Soarin took her bottle and started feeding her. "All better!"
"Sky Sky!" Rainbow called but Skylar was focused on her dad instead. "Ugh... okay then."
"I think it's time for a nap princess." Skylar looked sad at first. "You can have a teddy too!" Then she brightened up a bit more. Skylar then proceeded to have a very peaceful nap and give her poor parents a break.

A/N: WOW ANOTHER CHAPTER SO SOON?! I'm not sure what's up with me. After this chapter there will no more sick baby Sky, HEHE YEAAAAAH
