Chapter 9~Setup

Holy frick I'm so sorry this took so long don't come for me-

Leaving 

"Oi Kanae! What's taking so long?" Kuzuha could be heard shouting from outside.

"Just wait a minute!" Kanae shouted back.

"YOU SAID THAT 10 MINUTES AGO"

"I'M LOOKING FOR MY JACKET"

Kanae chuckled when he thought of how uncomfortable Kirika must be right then. He gave up on arguing with Kuzuha, left the jacket and ran out, not wanting to delay any longer.

Upon seeing Kanae walk out in a thin turtleneck and jeans that hugged his figure ever so well, Kuzuha felt butterflies fluttering in his stomach. The feeling was obviously the same for Kanae, looking up at the vampire dressed in all black. Well, he'd have the same reaction no matter what Kuzuha looked like. It seemed that the romantic tension was pretty easy to see since Kirika looked really uncomfortable. 

"Guys, let's go?" Kirika let out a nervous laugh.

"Oh yeah, sorry," both Kanae and Kuzuha snapped back to reality.

The trio decided to walk because, according to Kirika, the place wasn't far at all. Not even ten minutes in, the vampire was already tired. Kirika noticed and decided to take this chance.

"Kuzuha-san? You don't have to push yourself, let's stop for a while," she said whilst walking toward a tree for a bit of shade. The two livers nodded and followed suit. Immediately after being grazed by the shadow of the tree, Kuzuha plopped himself down on the ground to rest. After a few seconds, Kirika turned to Kanae.

"While he's down there, I'd like to talk to you about something," she whispered with a smile.

"Hm? What is it?"  Kanae whispered back.

Kirika stopped to look around for no reason in particular, then gestured Kanae to bend down. 

"You have feelings for Kuzuha-san right?"

Kanae's face immediately heated up with a visible blush. He wasn't prepared for the day this question would be asked. He didn't really have to say anything though, as his facial expression spoke too loud. Kirika smiled widely and winked before signaling to Kuzuha to get up and start walking again. 

Another ten minutes later, they arrived at a fairly big, two-storey house. Colorful beams of light could be seen everywhere. Everyone was happy and having fun. Kirika urged the two livers to wait on a bench outside while she grabbed some drinks. Little did they know what she was planning.

Inside, Kirika jogged up the stairs to greet the host of the party. She waltzed through the fancy hallway and stopped at a room with a door that was bigger than the others. After a few knocks, she went in. Applying some lipstick at a vanity was the host. You couldn't really make out their face because the lights were off, but you could surely tell that the room was huge. The atmosphere was calm yet tense. Kirika wished to relieve the tension in the room and spoke up.

"Honestly, you never have your lights on," she sighed.

"Mm? Hey it's too bright!" a lip smack could be heard and the taller girl put down the tube of lipstick. She paused, her lips forming a line. "Welcome home."

"Hello, sister."

OK SO- there's a new character- can anyone guess who she might be? *cough cough* I'll give you a hint: triple Kanae
