Chapter 2

"Mumei?"  You ask.

Mumei is standing in front of you with her back facing you. You look around. You widen your eyes as you see four entities around her on the floor, with hair colors of red, green, white, and blue, all girls. They seem to be fading. You try to look away from them and look at your surroundings. You seem to be in... a meeting room?

As you wonder why you're in a strange place, another entity appears in front of Mumei. As much as you don't know anyone else other than Mumei in this place, this entity seems to be a real stranger to you. It's as if you have a connection with the four entities that are fading.

You move a little bit to see the entity in front of Mumei. The entity seems to be a female. She has black shoulder-length hair with parts of it being purple, red, and indigo. Her eyes look like the twilight, but it feels as if you're being dragged to the darkness as you look at them.

She seems to be saying something to Mumei while looking at you, but you can't make out any of them, except for a few words.

"Bring her to me." You hear the entity say before she walks away from Mumei and fades into the darkness.

"Mumei...?" You ask again, this time Mumei hears you.

"Oh, (Y/N)," Mumei turns around to face you. You become wide-eyed as you see her usual golden-brown eyes have been changed to dark purple eyes, much like the entity with her earlier, but much darker.

"M-Mumei, what are you doing?" You take a few steps back as she starts moving towards you.

"Are you scared?" Mumei says with a menacing grin on her face.

"Uh, right now, yes!" You unintentionally shout as you step back faster.

Mumei's hands start glowing purple and she points it at you. Nothing happens to you, but you quickly realize what she's doing when you hit something behind you; a wall. You try to move to the side, but the same thing happens, and the only way out is in front of you, where Mumei is at.

Mumei eventually reaches you and she grabs your chin.

"Mumei, stop whatever you're planning, it's not funny," you try to say it in a calm tone, but you fail to do so.

She just looks at you right in the eye, with the grin still on her face. It's as if she's trying to kill you with her dark eyes alone. You go ahead and try taking her hand off your chin, but her grip just gets tighter.

"Mumei, please stop..." You strengthen your grip on her hand to take it off your chin but she does the same to keep holding it.

"Together. We'll be together forever, floating in the darkness," Mumei says. Her eyes start to glow and some sort of aura starts surrounding the both of you.

As you're about to push yourself away from her, you feel a sudden pain in your stomach.

"What..." You cough out blood as you look down. The dark aura surrounding the both of you went through your stomach. Not only yours, but Mumei's as well.

You look up to Mumei, who doesn't react to the aura slicing through her insides. She moves her hand from your chin to your cheek.

"Now we can stay together, forever," Mumei smiles, her dark purple eyes still staring right at you.

As Mumei slightly pinches your paling cheek, your vision starts to blur. As you lose consciousness, you hear a faint voice, it slowly gets louder and you recognize who it is. It's... Mumei? But she's right in front of you.
