Niall-

I shoved my hands in my pockets and walked home with the biggest grin ever on my face. I think I'm falling for a taken girl..... It's not like I could fight it! She was so adorable and sweet. She made me want to be a better person and I missed not having her around. I know she had a boyfriend and I'd respect that but, if by any chance she falters or they have a break through, I'll be there to catch her when she falls.

Melody's P.O.V

I honked my horn and waited for James to come out. He came running out a few minutes later. He climbed in the passenger seat and I backed out of his driveway.

"Sorry it took me awhile, I was talking to a friend." James apologized and I shook my head.

"Don't apologize leprechaun. I understand." I told him smiling and he smiled back.

In the band room we went straight for the heater and James' arm was around me as I laughed at a joke.

"Hello love." Devin said standing in front of us and I jumped off of the heater. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist and pulled me off the ground.

"Devin!" I giggled and he set me down. He leaned in and kissed me quite gently and sweetly. I smiled as he sat down with me on the heater and held my hand. We all talked for a bit until the bell rang.

"Come along little song." James motioned for me and I grabbed his hand. He pulled me off the heater and we walked to my first hour.

"See ya in second hour." I told him and he hugged me before walking down the hall. I smiled and walked into my class.

"Keep thinking of feature ideas!" Mr. Anderson reminded the class as we all shuffled out of the classroom.

"Hey there beautiful." I looked up from my worksheet at the Irish accent.

"Hey handsome! Ready for science?" I asked teasingly.

"Oh totally!" He replied sarcastically and I laughed. He sat down and we laughed and worked together all period.

At lunch James decided to chase me out across the school campus. Then, the rest of the day was rather boring.

"I'm ready when you are." I closed my locker and smiled at my leprechaun.

"Ok let's go catch that movie!" I replied and we started to walk down the hall.

"You're going to a movie with him?"I turned around to see Devin looking at me with pain in his eyes.

"Devin! It's not like that." I tried to reason and he shook his head.

"You turn me down for a movie but would happily go with him?! Mels, what's going on?" He asked me hurt and I sighed. I walked up to him and held his face in my hands so he couldn't look away.

"Devin, it's James' birthday. I was just trying to make it good for him cuz I figured no one else knew. Devin I love you I'm not going anywhere." I reassured him and then I leaned in and kissed him passionately. It took a few seconds for him to kiss back but he pulled me close with his arms around my waist.

"Ok, I trust you." He whispered and I pecked his lips again.

"I'll call you later." I told him and he nodded. I grabbed James' elbow and led him to my car.

"Are you sure you still want to go with me?" He asked me as I started the car. I looked at him dumbfounded.

"Of course! Don't be silly." I replied and drove out of the school parking lot.
