"Come on Charlie we got to go!" Allie yelled as she was knocking on Charlie's apartment door. He finally came out and they headed to the rink. When they got to the rink, the kids were in awe. They then all caught a glimpse on two kids on the ice.

"Who's that?" Gordon asked.

"That's Tommy Duncan, he's in my science class, and that's his sister Tammy," Peter responded.

"They would be good on the team don't you think?" Gordon asked the team. They all nodded their heads in agreement, "All right you guys get changed, I'll do the negotiating."

A few minutes later everyone was out on the ice. Allie was setting up cones while the kids were getting their practice jerseys on. Gordon then came over to Allie to ask her a question.

"Where are your skates?"

"I was supposed to bring those?" Allie asked. Gordon gave her a serious look, she just smiled, "I'm kidding I thought I would just set up first then put them on, don't worry," Allie finished setting everything up and went to put on her skates and grab her stick. Once she got out on the ice, she skated next to Gordon and started to watch the kids skate through the cones. After the cones they moved on to puck handling.

"Can you help them with their hand placing if they don't get it," He asked Allie. She nodded her head. She didn't really have to do much, they got it, she couldn't have been prouder of them.

"You know Coach this is cute and all, but when are you going to coach me and the goal?" Goldberg asked as he skated over. Gordon just smiled.

"I'll get the scarfs," Allie said with a smug smile on her face. Goldberg had the most traumatized look on his face as Gordon was tying him to the goal.

"You know this is really funny Coach, good joke," Goldberg said with terror in his voice.

Gordon just patted him and said, "You'll be fine," Gordon skated back to Allie and the line of skaters, "District five ready,"

"Come on guys please," Goldberg begged.

"Aim."

"I'd like to live."

"Fire," Everyone started to shoot pucks at Goldberg. The poor boy was getting beat left and right. The boy finally got used to it and started blocking the pucks.

After practice was over Allie went to her shift at the diner. Business was slow as usual, until she saw a familiar face walk through the door.

"Can I get you anything?" Allie asked him.

"Maybe just a water," He responded. Allie just nodded her head and went to grab him his water. She came back and set down the water.

"Anything else?" She asked him.

"Yeah actually, I think we should get to know each other more," he told her. Allie nodded her head.

"Okay, it's pretty slow and I have time, so why not," She responded. They got to know each other more, and to say they had a good time talking to each other was an understatement. Before she knew it her shift was done. Allie excused herself to clock herself out. When she got back Gordon was waiting for her.

"I thought I could walk you home, to continue talking," Gordon suggested. Allie nodded her head, and they were on their way.

"So, you never got to why you stopped playing hockey," Allie said.

"Well, it's a long story," He responded to her.

"We have time," she said with a smile.

"Well, it was the state championship, I took the penalty shot, missed and lost in overtime." Gordon said, "That was just the shortened version, what about you, why did you stop?"

Allie laughed, "Who said I stopped?"

"Charlie did, tonight," Gordon told her as he laughed a bit.

"Oh, well it's not that I wanted to stop, I had to," Allie told him.

"Why?"

"I was playing on the USA team for internationals, and it was the last quarter of the game, we were playing Iceland and we were tied five to five. I had the puck, and it was clear, I had a clear shot, then suddenly black," Allie told him. Gordon was surprised.

"What happened next?" Gordon asked her.

"Severe concussion and I tore my ACL badly, like very badly. Doctor said if I continued playing after I healed, and I got hit in another game, I wouldn't be able to play again, so I took the safe route, and just decided to stop. I mean I didn't stop completely, in the winter I go with my brother to the rink and just you know," Allie mimicked handling a puck.

"I'm sorry," Gordon told her.

"No, it's fine, it happens," Allie said with a small smile, "Well here we are. Thank you, goodnight Gordon."

"Goodnight Allie," Allie walked inside to her apartment and Gordon walked to his home. Allie couldn't help but think about how she enjoyed talking with him, she didn't want that moment, feeling to end. Maybe Connie was right.
