Your Mask.

it's been 3 months since Joshua and Hansol had been transferring to the new school and basically, they had a really good start. from Hansol getting to know his classmates better and Joshua being able to memorize the directions inside the school.

but one day, something had changed in one of those two boys.

6:00 AM

Hansol was seen to be laying on the couch in the living room, watching TV while waiting for his roommate. after a few minutes waiting, he saw Joshua walking downstairs with something on his face, a mask.

"yo Joshua, what's wrong? why are you wearing a mask?" Hansol asked while swinging his backpack to his right shoulder.

"ah no Hansol, it's just, i feel like wearing a mask" the other replied while fixing his mask.

"Joshua... you're very bad at lying" the younger muttered to himself as he watch the older disappear through the door.

8:00 AM

it's recess. all the students dashed to the canteen as if their rent is due tomorrow. then there's Joshua, walking slowly like a zombie. head's down, arms swinging back and forth, and his foot just sliding across the floor.

"hey Jisoo, are you okay? it's not normal for you to wear a mask like that" asked Seokmin as he chewed his bubblegum. "n-no, it's nothing Seokmin. i'm absolutely fine" the older replied.

oh Joshua, you're so bad at lying

"are you sure? you're not as energetic as usual tho.." Seokmin said, worrying of what might happened to his classmate. "yes i'm sure, Seokmin. now, i need to go hehe" Joshua said while running to the boys bathroom as if he can't hold it anymore.

once Joshua got inside the bathroom, he quickly locks the door, took of his mask and just stand there for no reason. until, someone opens the stalls door.

"w-who are you?" Joshua panicked while quickly putting his mask on.

"pfft, you don't know me? i'm Yoon Jeonghan" the other answered. "oh look, you can't hide your so called pretty face with this ugly mask" he continued as he snatched Joshua's mask and throw it to the trash bin.

Joshua can't hold it anymore. he thought Jeonghan will be as kind as he look, but his thoughts were wrong. he covers himself with his jacket, unlock the door and runs away, far away from the older.

"Hong Jisoo, what's the use of using a mask.." Jeonghan muttered to himself while scanning Joshua's mask which is now inside the trash bin. "i can't even see your pretty face with that mask on, Jisoo" he continued as he walked away.

"should i continue acting like this or just straight up telling him?" he asked himself. Jeonghan has been attracted to Joshua ever since he and Hansol joined the class. he has also seen Joshua's face features and man, a true work of art.

but now, the boy he once attracted to was covering his glory with a black mask, not wanting anyone to see his face.

he wants to see him, he wants to see his face again. but how?
