Sodapop Curtis Oneshots {Completed}

The gang at a fall festival (HC's)

I might've gotten carried away with this...

(You will be included in this! Gender-neutral pronouns!)

-The gang would have saved up for a long time and finally convinced Darry to take some time off so that they could all go to a fall festival

-Darry would be pretty reluctant, but after some puppy-dog eyes, he would cave

-On the way there, Soda, Steve, and Two-Bit would be hyping everyone up. They would put the radio on and sing super off key that you couldn't help but laugh at

-Johnny had convinced Pony to leave his books behind, and you promised to help the two boys catch up on their school work once you all got back

-Since there are eight members of the gang (including you), the space in the car was pretty tight. Darry would NOT let anyone sit in the bed of the truck (especially Soda and Two-Bit. He had a feeling that they would stand up or jump out and die.)

-Darry would be driving (switching out with you every once in a while so he could get some rest), you would be sitting in the passenger seat, and Pony and Johnny would probably be squished in between you two (seeing as they're the smallest)

-We're going to imagine that there's more space in the back so that the rest of the gang had space to breathe

-Putting Steve, Soda, and Two-Bit all in the back together probably wasn't the best decision. Dally was squished up against the wall, ready to kill one of them.

-At one point, Darry had to pull over so that you and Dally could switch seats

-Once you guys got to the fall festival, Steve, Soda, and Two-Bit would be going crazy. Steve would do his weird back-flipping off cars thing and Soda and Two-Bit would be hyping him up, probably getting hurt in the process

-The parents there would hate them and you guys hadn't even gotten in the door yet

-Darry wanted everyone to partner up, but that was a lost cause. The best he could do is hope that everyone would come back to the car alive

-Once you all got in the festival, it was like time had stopped

-Steve, Soda, and Two-Bit all gasped dramatically. You, Pony, and Johnny had huge smiles on your faces. You could tell Darry was impressed and glad that he had come along. Even Dally took his cancer stick out to look around appreciatively

-Surprisingly, all eight of you managed to stick together for the most part 

-At this point, I think Soda's ADHD would take over and he would want to do everything in the least amount of time possible 

-You and Steve were put on Soda watch duty. 

-But, let's be honest, Steve would probably do more harm than help

-First, you guys all went on the rides

-There were the common rides, such as a giant slide and some bouncy houses, but when Soda and Two-Bit saw the corn pit....

-Oh boy

-Let's just say that everyone there hated you guys

-You felt so bad for the littler kids, but they seemed like they were having the time of their lives with two older boys playing with them

-While Darry was watching Soda, Two-Bit (and probably Steve) in the corn pit, you took Pony, Johnny, and Dally to the games and other stalls (I can just see Pony and Johnny holding your hands, but that probably wouldn't happen (unfortunately))

-Multiple times you had to remind Dallas Winston that he couldn't smoke as there were little kids around and you guys were literally surrounded by flammable corn stalks

-You got Pony some kettle corn and Johnny some cotton candy

-You could even see Dally sneak some cotton candy every once in a while

-Also, I feel like Johnny and Pony would still do there best to act tuff, but while holding cotton candy, that's pretty hard

-You eventually met back up with Darry and the other boys and y'all decided to go into the corn maze 

-..... That was an experience. 

-Soda and Two-Bit argued over the map (Steve occasionally adding in his two cents) and got you guys lost

-You had to keep an eye on Dally so he wouldn't go and light up

-Darry was somewhat annoyed with everyone, but you could tell he was enjoying just wandering the maze

-You eventually had to yank the map away from the three boys and hand it to Pony and Johnny

-Pony was the one who got you out, Johnny checking his path every once in a while

-And at some point, Soda's dopamine on the maze would wear off and you would have to take his hand and drag him along

-You tried to keep Soda entertained with the little things, and it worked for the most part, but he was still a little distracted 

-Steve wanted to cut through the corn instead of following the path, but Darry quickly put an end to it

-Johnny and Pony were at the front of the group as they had the map and were leading everyone (and were doing a really great job)

-Two-Bit would run ahead of them and get lost and then have to double back to find the gang

-Once y'all did get out, it was almost dark, so you decided to head back to the car

-As you were driving back (you were at the wheel), Pony and Soda asked Darry if they could get ice cream

-You were smirking, knowing how this would play out

-Two-Bit and Steve gasped, and immediately started going, "Please please please please please!!" Even Dally asked once or twice

-Darry had a look on his face that you knew meant he was about to say no, so at the first Dairy Queen you saw, you pulled over and ordered for everyone

-(You knew them well enough to know their orders) 

-The gang all shouted words of praise and "thank yous!" but you just brushed them off, saying it was your treat

-Darry got a chocolate cone, Dally got a Dilly Bar, Two-Bit got the Triple-Chocolate Brownie, Johnny got the Choco dipped Strawberry Blizzard, Pony got the Oreo Mocha Fudge Blizzard, Steve got the Caramel Sundae, Soda got the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard, and you got (your favorite treat)

-(I literally had to look up the Dairy Queen menu for this)

-Once all the treats were finished, the gang kinda settled in and Darry took back the wheel

-After a while, you had a kinda long ride left, so you (forcefully) took the wheel from Darry and put on some calm music

-Pony ended up falling asleep on Johnny's shoulder, which resulted in Johnny having flaming-red cheeks and not being able to fall asleep himself (and you teasing him the rest of the ride)

-Two-Bit and Steve fell asleep as well, and Darry finally let Dally smoke out the window of the car

-Soda's dopamine was back, but you managed to calm him down a bit 

-In the end, Johnny did fall asleep, his head resting on Pony's (and you insisting on Soda taking a picture as your OTP was finally coming true!!!)

-You, Soda, and Darry talked quietly the rest of the ride, Dally chiming in a bit between smokes

-Overall, you knew that you would never forget this amazing day
