3 years from when I lit the house on fire. I saw my "family" this is how it all went down.

"Hey Addi, how have you been?" Oliva walked up to me with a man walking with their arms intertwined.

"Hi." I really don't want to talk to anyone right now, especially her. "I've been doing pretty well."

"I'm glad that your feeling better." she said with a fake smile on her face.

I wanted to make her day worse so i said, "We should get lunch sometime, are you free today?"

"Yeah we should definitely get something to eat." she said looking at her I assume boyfriend for consent. He nodded his head that she should come with me to get lunch.
______

"I never asked you, but why did you cry the first time you came over?" I asked.

She looked shocked, "Before Jack, I mean dad. My mom dated many guys that didn't treat us well me the best. Since my dad left he paid child support, but it still wasn't enough for us. She decided that messing around with guys would pay our rent. She stopped after we moved back in with my grandma." She stopped to wipe away her tears, "I was so relieved, but one man followed us and threatened us if we didn't give him some amount of money."

"Oh sorry, I never realized that it would have been so dark. I always thought it was because you were in a similar situation as mine where your dad recently passed away." I said.

"We gave him the money and he left, I don't think my mom understood how much this made me mentally hurt." She started crying, so I grabbed her hands and rubbed the back of her hands with my thumbs.

"Hey, have you heard anything from Jack." she asked me when she wiped her tears away.

"No, why?" I said curiously.

"Nobody has seen him in a while. We think he went missing, but we don't know who took him." she paused and tried to remember something. "He said that he going to find you and apologize. He never made it did he?"

"No." I started tearing up, so the man that made me burn down a house and run away to my grandparents is making me cry. "Why would he apologize after all this time?" I asked Liv.

"Because he felt like he was a little hard on you when you were younger and you just wanted to say sorry for it "said Olivia

"I don't care he did no good in my life except ruin it I'm happy with my life right now and I don't want it back "I said as I was leaving
