"Attention!" The teacher said, calling everyone's focus to the front of the room. "Since you all have decided to enter the support course, then you will now attempt to improvise a device to enhance the quirk of someone here. It does not have to be permanent, instead it should compliment one of your abilities. You have two hours to work, starting now!" Aika and his group looked at each other. Tokage and his sister Kimari both looked apprehensively at him and Yua.

"What's up?" Aika asked, looking at the two of them. "Ummmm..." Tokage muttered, whispering something under his breath. "Hey!" Yua said, pulling the attention away from them. "I'll go first so that you guys are less nervous, ok? My quirk is called Aura Enforcement, I can make people feel the same way as me! That's why I try to always be positive, yeah?"

Aika went next. "Hi, I don't think I introduced myself yet. My name is Aika Itsume, and my quirk is called forgemaster. I can summon a personal forge by my side and I also have pretty high fire resistance. The other thing is I can move some metals with my mind when I'm in there." Aika tried to make his quirk seem weaker, while still leaving the basics. He didn't want to forget what he had said and leave them wondering why he could move metal randomly and the fact he had a magic room for himself.

"Wow, that is so powerful! And it works really well with the support course!" Yua said, bubbling at the possibilities. The two of them looked at Tokage and Kimari. Tokage spoke first. "Well, my quirk is c-called Intellect up, I can make myself super smart for about forty seconds at a time. However, I get a bad migraine when I use it too much. Kimari, is umm... is.... She's quirkless. But she is sti-"

"Pause for a second." Aika said, raising his hand up. "Is that what you guys looked so nervous about? It's fine. It just means we already have narrowed our options down to two possible ideas." "Two? But there are three of us?" Yua said, cutting in quickly. "My quirk isn't able to be upgraded, I know because I've tried a few times and it hurts something awful."

"Well, what if we were to create a type of hypnosis device for Yua? It could help her aura ability a lot." Tokage said, smiling at the other two. He seemed a lot more relaxed now that he knew they weren't going to be mean to Kimari.

Timeskip brought to you because I don't feel like trying to talk about a hypnosis device being built.

"Wow, very impressive kids." The teacher said admiringly. The group had built a gauntlet that allowed the wearer to use hypnosis-like techniques in order to interrupt the thought process of an enemy and make them more susceptible to Yua's quirk. "This is very good. Everyone here did very well, and tried hard. Now, it is time for the final test. It is a solo test in which you will show off an invention you designed solo and built yourself."

Aika smiled. This was going to be excellent, and he knew instantly that this would earn him some prestige. He had actually brought Hermes for this reason. He watched as his fellow examinees got called through one by one, each with some sort of device. More than a few people came out with their devices smoking or on fire, with a distraught look on their faces. Finally, it was his turn. "Hermes!" He called, waking the robot from his synthetic slumber. "What's up?" "It's our turn." Aika said, leading the way to the examination room.

Inside was a large, open space with a table and three chairs. In the chairs was the pro heroes Cementoss and Powerloader, along with some sort of rat-dog-bear hybrid thing. Suddenly, the rat-thing spoke. "Hello, welcome examinee #214371. I am Nezu, the principal here at UA. Would you mind presenting your project to us?" "Oh, of course! Hermes, could you please show off your abilities?" Aika said, turning to look at the boy who had quietly entered behind him.

"Sure, you got it!" Hermes replied as a grin covered his face. He used his wind abilities to make himself fly, and then lowered himself back down and sprinted to the opposite side of the room and back. Hermes finished by leaning against the wall and grinning. Then, Cementoss raised his hand. "Hello, I am wondering. This boy does seem to be powerful, but how does this show us your invention? Do you perhaps have a device that allows you to enhance his power?"

"Actually, about that.... Hermes, please deactivate your hologram." Aika said, looking carefully at the automaton. Hermes raised an eyebrow slightly. "Are you sure, boss? There isn't any going back after that." "Yes, please deactivate it." Aika said, proud of his handiwork. "Ok, then." Hermes's form flickered for a second before disappearing, revealing the bronze color of the robot's plating.

The eyes of all of the judges widened significantly, except for the principals. Nezu simply smiled, a crafty look on his face. "Is that a quirk?" Powerloader said, looking at the automaton. "No, I made him. He is an automaton that I built in my free time. His name is Hermes, and he is a synthetic being who doesn't age, and is extremely capable as you just saw."

Nezu was the next to speak. "Is he able to transform to look like other people?" "No, he is only able to project his one form. Otherwise, he could look however he wanted, which would be way too overpowered." Aika replied, pointing at different parts of Hermes. "Do you perhaps have more beings like this?" Cementoss asked, wondering how many this boy had made. "Yes, I have one at home who I call Hestia. She is really kind, and is also a robot like Hermes here."

Nezu smiled. "Well, thank you very much, examinee #214371. We will think about whether or not to accept you, so please expect mail within the next week deciding on your attendance." Aika bowed and left, thanking them as he left. "Hermes, reactivate your hologram." He said just before he opened the door. "Finally." Hermes said as he opened up his hologram, cloaking himself as a human once more. They left the room and began to look for their new friends.

Meanwhile, back in the testing room, Cementoss and Powerloader were freaking out. "How is this possible? That boy made an automaton that can realistically pose as a human, he could have hundreds of them and we would never know! Plus, the way that was all attached there were no seams in it, it's almost like he was made from a single block of whatever ore that was. That too! What was that robot made of that it could go that fast and fly without taking any sort of damage?" Powerloader began to freak out, his gauntlets holding his helmet tightly.

Nezu smiled. "That boy is incredibly talented. He is exactly what we are looking for in a student here, and he has tremendous potential. What is interesting, though, is that there is no record of him existing before about eleven months ago." "What?" Cementoss asked, looking up from trying to console Powerloader. "I mean, he has no birth certificate, no educational record, nothing. It's like he simply popped into existence somewhere in Mustafa. We only know that because he listed a mailing address which is under the possession of one Aika Itsume, who also appears to not have parents."

"We should keep an eye on him, I'm not sure how I feel about this." Cementoss said, looking at the rat king. He helped Powerloader to stand, rubbing his shoulder gently. "It's ok, it's ok.." Cementoss consoled as Powerloader calmed down. After a few seconds, Powerloader composed themselves and sat down. "Well, we should send in the next candidate, right?"
