Chat Noir's pov:

I don't wanna believe that Sophie's Ladybug. But she has the earrings. And if she was lying then M'lady would've made an appearance to tell the truth. Nothing like that happened. So, I guess she actually is Ladybug. Its just that I didn't expect Ladybug to be someone like... her.

She seemed to like me as Adrien. So, this might just work.

I don't have time for this. I need to go for patrol. When I reached for patrol the meeting was already over and the heroes went in pairs to different parts of the city. The usual routine. Ladybug was waiting for me cause I'm her partner(enter Chat's blushing smile).

I wanted to talk to her but as soon as she saw me, she said, "Let's go" and yo-yoed off. I had no option but to follow her. And I did. After finishing patrol all the heroes gathered together again to discuss what they saw. Then after they dispersed off Ladybug turned to me to say goodbye. But I quickly stopped her. I have to do this. "Why did you reveal your identity"?

Ladybug's pov:

Ouch! That hurts. "Someone at my old school found out and-", "Ok and I know who you are so is there going to be a problem?", Chat interrupted. "I hope so not." He stared directly into my eyes and suspiciously asked, "You're not Sophie, are you?"

I wanted to tell him the truth, I knew what impact this lie could have on our partnership. He always wanted to know who I am, so I thought of letting him stay in an illusion for now.

"If I were not Sophie, then why would Sophie tell everyone she's Ladybug?" "Um- ok, I trust you", Chat nervously replied. I knew what he was going to say next and I dreaded it. I just wanted to run away, maybe bury myself while I'm at it.

"Now that the cat is finally out of the bag, could you tell me the other secret." I knew what he meant, but I pretended to be confused. "Um- about ya know- the boy that you liked."

I couldn't take it anymore. "Okay. But only if you can catch me." I swung off by my yo-yo.

Chat Noir's pov:

She ran off again. The last time I couldn't cat-ch her. This time I had to. I used my baton to follow her till I reached near the school. Then I lost her. Again.

Or so I thought till I saw Sophie standing behind a poster. She must have detransformed. I ran up to her. "Hey! Gotcha!", I tapped her shoulder. "Weren't expecting me to find you, were you?", she didn't say anything. She stared at me with a straight face. I continued, "Now, you have to tell me."

"Tell you what?", she asked, pretending to be confused. "Tell me about the boy you like."

"Oh yeah, About that- I'll tell you, It's Ember."

"Uhh, who?"

"Adrien Agreste to be more exact."

Exactly what I expected.

Marinette's pov:

I ran into the sewers behind the school and detransformed. As I came out and walked towards the bakery, I saw Chat and Sophie talking. I knew what was going on, but I was too tired to deal with all that sh- sorry- um stuff.

I headed straight to my room and to bed.

Next day was similar. I was late. Sophie was showing off to everyone. I still got to sit beside Adrien though. So, it was alright.

But Adrien kept acting weird. He was trying his best not to look anywhere but his books. He was doodling stuff on his notebook, which he wouldn't let me see. And he did not respond when the teacher called him twice.

After class he told me to wait, he wanted to talk about something important. I was confused to say the least.

"Uh- I know this may seem weird, but- I wanted to ask someone out", he said in a weird tone.

I felt my heart sink to the pit of my stomach. "Uh- o-okay, who is it?", I said with a lump in my throat.

"Ladybug."

For a moment, I felt my feet lighter as if I was floating in pink bubbly clouds and the air in my lungs and heart expanded. Then the truth sunk in. My heart sank even further if that was possible.

"Or Sophie to be more exact."

I tried to keep my cool and maintain a calm face but I could tell from his expressions that I wasn't doing a great job.

"Are you ok? Marinette?"

I tried to find my most convincing voice and said, "Yeah, I'm okay, continue", while dying on the inside.

"I have no idea what to do, so, could you tell me what I could give her as a gift?"

I didn't know what to say and I couldn't just keep standing there so I just started rambling. "I-I guess- you could give her a rose- or a mouse plushie would be better- she herself said that she hates cats and loves mice."

He interrupted me, "Yeah, but wouldn't that be kinda weird?"

At this point I was so embarrassed that I just wanted to run off. "Um- yes- could you ask someone else about it? I have no idea in that field." And off I ran.
