Christmas Present
“What is this...” my voice trails off.
“Well you just said it was a ring. A ring.”
“I know it's a ring.” I pause. “But why?”
Luhan sighs. “Are you really that dumb? A wedding ring.” He pauses this time. “For the wedding...”
“But you don't want to marry me... it was because of our parents for all this happened.”
“Yeah I know. I've been here you know Maria...” Luhan lets out a small chuckle. “Forced marriage they say.”
“Are you really going to marry me?” I say quietly.
He doesn't respond. I sit there waiting for an answer. I glance at him.
“Did you hear me?”
“Yes.”
“What's your answer then?”
“I just told you. 'Yes'.”
I just stare at him. I couldn't tell if he meant it. If he was just joking.
“We have too. We have no choice.” He tells me calmly.
Silence fills the room again. We are sitting on the bed with no communication. I'm sitting holding onto the box, while He just sits there staring at his hands. My mind is all over the place. It's only been about five months, yet marriage is coming.
“What are you thinking about?” He asks. “Hey you.” He nudges me in the arm.
“Ow.”
He laughs. “That hurts?”
“Yes it did.” I look up at him.
“What a baby~” He mocks me. “Try enduring your kicking when you sleep.” He laughs again.
“I don't kick in my sleep.”
“Yes you do. You kick me, the blankets, the pillows, and everything.”
“Whatever~”
“So, you didn't answer me question.”
“Oh umm.. I don't know. A lot of things are on my mind.”
“Tell me,” He says while setting his presents on the table. He lays back down on the bed. “I'm listening.”
“Well umm... just this marriage thing. This whole arrangement has only been like 5 months. Half a year. Yet people know us as the couple who've been together for almost over a year now. I just...”
“You don't know if you're ready?” Luhan says while pulling a pillow closer to him.
“Yes... I'm sorry.”
“Sorry who?”
“This is not the time to joke around... Oppa~”
“Sorry~” He laughs. “Trying to make this situation before.
I turn around to look at him staring at the ceiling.
“What about you?”
“Me?”
“Are you ready for all of this?”
“I don't know either. But I have too. I'm the man...”

Update! I finally updated after 3 months. I am so thankful for your constant support of votes, comments, adds, follows, and more. I check in Wattpad every single day, & I'm honestly so thankful. I say it all the time, but I really am. I am sorry for not updating as quickly.
I know! 76 CHAPTERS. Crazy. It's so long. I keep my crazy so short with so much dialogue than details. Sorry! I'm trying my best for more details. I know there are silly spelling and grammar mitakes in my stories. I'm sorry! I will edit soon as possible.
With junior year, there has been so many projects, tests, ACT pracitice, college prep, and so much more. If I could update everyday & every story I would. I wish I could message you all & reply to your comments. I've losted a few -.-
