Basic Wattane fic

It's my second Wattane story and I can't speak English.

First of all. Happy new year. Even tho there's 0% chance that any of us will have a happy year.
Second of all. In "It won't work" I mean that people won't be satisfied/like it.
There was an idea. But it won't work. After the half it's not a wattane fanfic.
People read wattane fics to see wattane. To see Octane and Wattson from Apex Legends interact with eachother in ways that lovers interact with eachother.
But what I was about to do was
"Let's make him go insane while she'll be crying and drinking alcohol"
I should explain it better...
After some chapters I was going to separate Octane and Wattson apart. Then it would be focused on Octane. Then on Wattson. And grand finale.
It just. Won't work.
People read wattane fics to see how these 2 characters interact with eachother. Not how one of them lets the anger out and commits first degree murder while other one has depression. Even if it's for the plot and character development. It (probably) won't work.
I was thinking on if I should continue writing it or just tell the whole plot and say "Hey. I tried. Anyways. Look at this plot twist". I still haven't decided. What I wrote above doesn't really spoil anything. So I guess. Wait for the next chapter.
But if I won't write next chapter or finish the story till 2023. Then. I'll just write about what I wanted to write.
So feel free to either wait for another chapter or go and find another much better author who'll write wattane fanfic that people want.
