Chapter 1 : Huh? What is this?!
———–—————•

"Mhmm.."
I turned to my side, on my tummy to be precise. The mattress underneath me felt as if I was melting into it. So comfortable.

[Did the knight commander take me to the infirmary? They sure have soft beds~ Lucky them.]
I snuggled into a pillow, which I was currently hugging.

[I don't feel any pain or soreness around my body~ that's magic border infirmary for you.]
The warm sensation of sunshine on the sheets made me feel cosy. A few rays of sunlight shone on my face, tickling my eyes. My eyebrows furrowed.

"Ah, he is waking up!"
A soft yet, unnecessarily loud voice echoed near me. The voice carried a sense of relief. I lazily analyzed what he was saying, he sounded so young. Was it that young knight who was with the commander? The voice sounded to be barely a child's.  Was he that young or were my ears only deceiving me?

[He?]
Ahh, probably some other knight that was somewhere at the infirmary. In my life, I was called whatever but "he".

[Must be nice to have comrades who would be worried for you, oh, to be loved.]
I laughed at myself who even after facing death was jealous.

[Will I still have to go and marry the North's prince?]

".."

[But there again, no one will be waiting for me at home, I was replaced.]
I sighed inside and my face crumbled, I slowly opened my eyes and bright sunlight shone into them. It made me close my eyes again.

"It's so blinding.."
I said out loud without properly realizing it. I had this habit of talking to myself.

"He is awake! Hurry up and get a Dr Wiltson!!"
The same gentle and yet loud voice. The voice was getting closer.

I lazily moved my face away from the sunlight, slightly curious to see the magic border infirmary. It was a fancy one. The ceilings were tall with paintings of angels and clouds. Right from the centre was a hanging chandelier, covered in gold and decorated with crystals and diamonds. The creamy-coloured walls with some gold patterns looked rather unique.

I felt a light breeze tickling me. There must have been an open window or terrace. But since my position wasn't letting me see it I let it be. I don't want to move only to see it, I'm comfortable now. The breeze brought some nice refreshing scents that consisted of lavender, lemon, and freshly cut grass.

As I continued my eye-straining journey my gaze fell onto the navy blue pillow I was resting my head on. I was about to close my eyes again when someone suddenly shook me.

"..ey..hey!"
I was brought back by the voice that screamed near my ear. Why use such force when speaking?

[Loud.]
I finally looked at the source of such a powerful voice with tired but still furrowed brows.

"Are you feeling better?"
The long red hair that shined like rubies under the sunlight was tight in what looked like a neatly cut piece of cloth. Resembling...  ribbon, maybe? The red bangs that were slightly covering the cheery blossom eyes that showed some bit of concern. Soft plump cheeks that did not take away the charm of this young-looking boy. Now looking at him, his voice matched him well. Tough outside but soft inside. Like a meekly boiled egg.

His clothes looked rather polite, more like some type of a uniform, the white shirt with a navy blazer and white jacket on top with white shorts and high knee socks.

[Have I met him before?]

"Are you mute?"
His facial expression crumbled as if he was pouting. Am I some parrot to him?

"Young Master, the boy must be still in a state of shock after such an unfortunate experience."

Said a man who had a knight uniform, decorated by the sword on his side. His dark hair, meticulously styled back, adds a touch of sophistication to his look, creating an effortless blend of modern and classic charm. His deep chocolate eyes exude warmth and intelligence, drawing you in with their depth and intensity. His strong jawline and muscular features give him a rugged yet refined appearance. He carries himself with a confident elegance, his posture straight and assured. Whether dressed in a tailored suit or casual attire, his sense of style is impeccable, making him stand out in any crowd. His charisma is undeniable, and his smile, when it appears, is both captivating and genuine, adding to his undeniable allure.

["Such unfortunate experience"? Monster attack at the magic border? ]

I got lost in my thoughts again, looking at the red hair moving in front of me, from side to side, it fascinated me because it was shining so brightly.

As I was about to say something the door opened, showing a man with striking blue hair, a colour that complements his blue eyes. His hair, though unconventional in colour, is not styled, messy hair that are giving him a unique and memorable appearance, revealing his sleeping habits. He wears a white coat that fits perfectly, hinting at his broad shoulders and lean build underneath

His face is framed by a pair of stylish glasses that just adds to an air of mystery to his already distinguished look. His strong jawline and high cheekbones are softened by a kind smile that he often shares with his patients, revealing his warm and caring nature. He carries himself with quiet confidence, his movements gentle but flexible, reflecting his dedication to his profession.

"Did you just wake up?"
The ruby-haired boy asked as he greeted the doctor.

"My apologies, I dozed off."
Oh wow, look at him, all flustered, poor thing, did he pull an all-nighter? The black circles under his eyes are telling me he did indeed.

"Whatever, just hurry up and treat him, he seems to go mute."
The ruby-haired boy rudely pointed his finger at me.

"What..?"
A word came out of my mouth as I was slightly taken off guard. Who are you to point at me like that? I'm at least twice your age.

[Huh, my voice just now...]
I stiffened as I didn't recognize my voice, it felt different, did I cough a cold? It sounded so sore.

"So you aren't mute!"
The young boy walked closer to the bed.

[Of course, I'm not mute. Hurry up and take that pointing finger away from my face, it's making me go blind instead.]

I lazily glared at him.

"Hurry up and sit up already!"
All of a sudden he hurriedly pulled my arm. For a child, he did have some strong muscles, but I can also say, he isn't a big fan of thinking before acting.

[Are you crazy, child?]

As he pulled my hand it didn't make me sit but hug him instead. My head felt dizzy from the sudden motion. His smaller body radiated nice warmth.

"..."
"..."
Everyone in the room went silent, hardly even breathing. I could see that, they all were holding in their laughs.

"Um.."
I don't mind since the warmth from the other's body felt nice but it was indeed an awkward moment for him. My throat on his shoulder was getting uncomfortable. I lifted my sleepy eyes and looked at him.

"Can you let go..?"
I said leaning onto him more because my body balance had given up.

After a few seconds, he let go of my hand and pushed me back onto the bed with his hands, his movements stiff. I was now back to laying on my back. His face was flustered. It was cute to look at how he desperately tried to hide it, so refreshing.

"A- Ahem!"
He coughed, pretending nothing happened. Was he trying to mask his embarrassment? Yes, he was. I unconsciously chucked. Then I slowly sat up, moving my body higher and leaned my back into the softness of the pillows.

[Hmm?..]
I looked at my body, it didn't feel right.

"!"
As I looked at my body it was indeed strange. It was ..small? My tiny fingers could be barely compared to the baby carrot. And the legs under the sheets looked as if small pillows were placed there instead.

[What..?]
My eyes widened.

"...are you okay?"
The voice went through my ears but I couldn't hear it. I was too occupied by my current state.

"...a dream?"
