A final chance to turn this summer around was the beach house trip. One week to just relax and spend time with friends. It's about a 12 hour drive to the house. Ava is going to drive us there because she had wanted to get away for a week too.
That's it, the summer is ruined! We caught a flat tire about three hours into our trip. It was all a mess. Mr. and Mrs. King had come to get us to drive us back home. As the tow truck had Ava's car. It was hard to believe that the summer was only a little more than halfway through.
The ride back home wasn't so bad. On our way back we got food and ice cream. Although, we had only done that because we had forgotten our snacks and other food in the car.
