CHAPTER 12

Xiao Zhan returned from New York one day earlier than he has planned. The problem which the branch of his was facing was actually not a problem it was just a trick that his friends played to get him to meet them. At first, when he saw Xue Yang in the meeting room standing there, he got confused that why his friend is here in a meeting room, but soon he realized that he was the one he had to meet. Zhan was a little bit angry that Yang wasted his time. But when Yang said that he was missing him, he realized that he got so much lost in his work that he had forgotten his other life which is work free.

Xiao Zhan being he is in the past 10 years never thought that he needed time for himself. He always thought that all he needed was work to make him feel better. But the last one and a half days he spent with his friends made him realize how much he needed this break from his work. At first, he was angry with them, as he felt that his friends didn't need to plan such a thing to make him meet them. But what he heard in response made him feel guilty and also made him realize that he got so much lost in his work that he has forgotten this part of his life where he had people who cares for him and are worried about him, that night Zhan made a promise to himself that no matter how much busy he is going to take out time for his friends.

The next day was spent well too as all the four went out and have fun like the days they used to do in college. Zhan as usual stared at all three friends in front of him, Xue Yang and Xingchen bickered, and Yanli tried to calm both of them. It was their usual and sometimes seeing these two bickerings makes him realize his life which never had anyone special. The truth is he wanted to have somebody with whom he want to spend his life, someone who would care for him, someone who will not be interested in his money but him. The irony of his life was that he was not able to find anyone like this. As he doesn't want to spoil everyone's mood so he just shrugged his thoughts and continue enjoying his day. It was that evening he left for Beijing at first his friends were reluctant but after he promised that he will meet them every 6 months, they allowed him to go.

BEIJING

It was at 10:00 am when his flight landed in China. As he left the airport, he found Mr. Lam waiting for him, as he had already informed him about his arrival. As soon as Mr. Lam sees his master, he comes toward him, takes his luggage, and opens the car door for him. Zhan slides in the car and Mr. Lam settles in the driver seat and asks,
"Master, Where?"
"To the Mansion," directed Zhan.

Zhan reached the mansion at 10:30 am and was welcomed by Butler Han at the door.
"Welcome back, Master," said Mr. Han while taking the overcoat and briefcase of Zhan.
Zhan nods and proceeds toward his bedroom. As soon as he enters the room, he proceeds toward the bathroom and took a shower for around 30 minutes to pent up his tiredness from the travel. He steps out of the shower and gets ready for his office. Since Zhan came early he decided to proceed to his office. He called Mr. Lam to make his car ready and descended. As he reached, Mr. Lam opens the door and Zhan settles himself and the car zoomed toward his destination.

Zhan reached the office post-lunch hours and as soon as he enters the building with his majestic aura the building went into silence, as they were shocked to see their boss early. Zhan entered the elevator and pressed the button for the 50th floor. As the elevator opened on the 50th floor, he steps out and proceeds toward his office, when he found a group of three people talking among themselves.
Zhan was shocked to see such a scenario in front of his office as no one dares to enter the 50th floor except Cheng and some senior executives. He was about to move toward them when he heard Yubin's voice,
"When is boss coming back?"
Zhan who heard this stopped in his tracks as he was curious to know what they were talking about him, so he didn't intervene but just kept listening to them.
"Already missing him," said Cheng.
"Who is missing him? I am enjoying myself." Retorts Yubin
"But you are the one asking about him?" Said cheng.
"I just want to know till when can I enjoy my work without getting a scolding," said yubin, which made Zhan's brows furrow.
"Hey he is not that bad,", then after a pause continued "he is worst" and all the three laughed.
Zhan who heard this was amazed that this is what Cheng does behind him and moreover they are talking about him. So he cleared his throat and in a cold voice said " "Am I that bad?"

Yubin who heard the voice of Zhan suddenly turns toward Cheng and asks, "now you know how to talk in the boss voice"
Cheng who was laughing said, "I am not even that talented."
They looked at each other and looked in Yibo's direction who also shook his head indicating he didn't do it.

Zhan who was watching this was surprised and he again spoke with a colder voice, "you should be aware of your surrounding"

This time all the three flinched and the two defaulters turned around and their eyes widen seeing Zhan standing there. Zhan looks at them and narrows his brows, Cheng seeing he is caught lets out a nervous laugh, "B..boss you are b..back?"
"Yaa, and at a perfect time," said Zhan in a cold voice.
"What do you mean?" Asked Cheng as he knows that he is gone now because the way Zhan was behaving made him realize zhan must have heard what they were talking about and yubin who heard shrinks a little and hide behind Cheng.
"To know what my employees think about me." Said Zhan indifferently.
"He..he we were joking," said Cheng and then looks at Yubin for support. Yubin who saw Cheng just nods his head fastly.
Cheng who knew that Yubin is not going to speak said "you are the best, Zhan boss" and winked at Zhan.
Zhan seeing the antics of his friend released a deep breath.

Meanwhile, Yibo who heard the voice flinched a little but didn't dare to turn around. But as he heard the talking between Cheng and said person, he realized that this must be the boss they must be talking about.
"So this means he made fun of Mr. Xiao Zhan. Damm it Yibo, you are going to get fired on your very first day" thought Yibo.

Zhan after talking to Cheng looked at the third figure who hadn't turned around so he clears his throat and speaks "may I know, who are you?"

With this Yibo turns around and looks at Zhan and Zhan who sees Yibo freezes in his place.....
