It had been a year since everyone came back, a year without my dad and Nat.
I had a beautiful baby girl and we called her Natasha Toni Stark after my best friend and my dad. She is now 1 years old and I tell her and James story about there hero grandpa and auntie.
Bucky and Sam have been working together, Sam has taken on the captain America mantle. Steve retired and we live in our little cabin in the woods.
We are a family and I make sure everyday we make new memories and live our lives together just as my dad would have wanted. We live close to pepper and Morgan, I make sure to see them as often as I can. There my family and I like to tell Morgan story of dad.
My powers are fully under control now. I don't use them if I can help it but if there is ever a time when there needed then I know I'm not going to hurt anyone.
James or Natasha haven't shown any signs of powers yet but we know it's a possibility. But with steve, myself and the army of aunties and uncles we have we know they will be just fine.
The kids are napping and I'm just sat out on our bench looking out at the lake.
"Hey baby"
"Hey handsome"
"What you doing out here?"
"I'm just thinking"
"About what?"
"About how happy I am. This life has been crazy but to be here with you and our kids, I couldn't be happier"
"Me too. Your all I ever wanted"
"When you went back you were never tempted to stay with Peggy"
He sat beside me and cupped my face in his hands "never. I loved Peggy but the love I have for you is so much more. You are the love of my life"
"And your mine"
Steve had gone back in time and put all the stones back so it wouldn't mess up the timeline. He told me he had seen Peggy and that she looked good. He told me it hurt him to see her but he knew that she was happy.
I did have my worries he might go back to her but when he came back to me, I was so happy.
"Max?"
"Yeah"
"Thank you"
"For what?"
"For this life, for our kids for making me see that there was more to this world then just fighting wars"
"Your welcome husband. I couldn't be happier then I am with you"
He pulls me to him and kisses me deeply. Even after all these years the love we have for one another is still so strong. My life is him and our children and I couldn't wait to see what our life would bring.
Growing up with your dad as iron man, meeting the avengers, meeting steve, it was a crazy life but it was mine and I was grateful for every part of it.
