Season 4 Final Chapter Restoration

Naruto's POV
I've been waiting for my son who finally got to the hokage's estate as he came into my office

"I've been waiting for you... so I guess you heard the news about your grandma and your grandpa?" I asked my son who looked away and nodded

I had known that this time would've come sooner or later even though I wish it wouldn't

"Um... grandpa told me a long time ago that both him and grandma wouldn't be able to stay long enough. As long as a threat has subsided, then they will go back to the afterlife..." He explained as I looked away

"I see..." I said as I began to smile seeing as my father had prepared for this for so long after being revived

"Then I need you to do something for me, Boruto."

After talking to my son, a few days had passed and it was time to say goodbye to my father and mother for the second time after their death

"Grandma... Grandpa..." Himawari said as she cried and my parents rubbed her hair

"You've got to stay strong, Hima. Remember, even in death... family is forever. As long as you keep us close to your heart." Mom said as Himawari dried her tears and tried to stay strong

I understood why she was very upset since I was sad as well

I walked up with my son and my wife to say goodbye  to my parents who were looking at us with a smile

"Thank you so much for looking after Naruto. I know he can be such an airhead sometimes, but he is very dependable." My father said to Hinata as they bowed

"Actually, he's always looking after us more than we are looking after him. A true hero." Hinata said as I blushed and chuckled nervously

My father smiled as he began to glow along with my mother as their spirits floated and their bodies began to crumble

"I promise, I will lead everyone just like you have dad! You worked so hard for this village and I want to do the same!" I yelled as Boruto stepped forward

"Thank you so much grandma and grandpa! I'm glad I finally got to meet you! You both take care of yourselves in the afterlife!" He yelled as their spirits disappeared

A few days after that, things went back to normal

Hinata went back to her duties at home while Boruto went back to the academy

But one thing's for sure...

Even though my parents aren't around, doesn't mean I can slack off

I made a promise to my dad and I intend to keep it... no matter what

Boruto's POV
After I said goodbye to my grandparents, I went to the academy the next day as I high fived Sarada and Mitsuki who were at the tables

"You know, it's a shame that they're gone now. I had many questions for grandpa too." I said as Mitsuki chuckled

"Well, what can you do?" He said as I stared at him and sighed

I laid my head down on the table as I began to fall asleep

With my grandparents gone, life went back to normal but there was something else that I couldn't remember

"You know, stories went around the leaf at one point about your grandfather. He was pretty famous when he was still alive due to his works as the 4th hokage. Especially the one where he sealed one of the tailed beasts inside of his own. It's become a huge deal." Mitsuki said as I scoffed before chuckling at what he said

"Yeah well, that sounds about right. That's how things should be." I told him as I looked to the sky thinking about everything that happened in the years that they were around as I was content with everything that happened so far

My only wish going forward was to finally become the best ninja to surpass my father and to one day make my own legacy

That's my ninja way
