It was Monday morning and Alex stood in the reception of the hotel waiting for Oliver. Torin had already started his interview then he had to do a quick photo shoot for the magazine that was running it. It was 12:25pm when she saw Oliver step out of the lift. He looked up and found her straight away. He frowned for a second then smiled. Walking over to her hurriedly she noticed the heads of some of the other people in the reception turn to look at him. He really was a good looking guy. His dark hair contrasted with his light tan and piercing blue eyes. She always laughed when people described a mans jaw as chiselled but honestly his jaw was the closest to a chiselled jaw that she had seen.

"I'm so sorry, I hope you weren't waiting long." He sounded nervous "Hello to you too Oliver" she laughed "Honestly, it's fine you're not late I was just a few minutes early." He hesitated as he got beside her. "Y..you look beautiful" She smiled and thanked him then they left the hotel to go get lunch. As soon as they got outside someone jumped in front of them and took a photo. Alex froze and Oliver stood in front of her protectively. He used his body to shield her and they ran back inside the hotel doors. Alex ran towards the reception area as Helen looked up started.
"Sorry Helen, we just have to hide out back here for a while. There's photographers outside trying to get pics of Oliver. Can you please call one of the guys and ask them to watch the door." Oliver was right behind her, he followed her into the back room behind the reception. Alex messaged Torin to let him know what happened then they sat and waited for a few minutes. Nik knocked and came into the room. "There's a few photographers around the front an back door but theres nobody at the bar doors so if you go through the side door there you should get out without being spotted. "

"Brilliant, thanks so much Nik, you're the best" A few minutes later they were both heading out the side door. Oliver was wearing a cap pulled down as far over his face as possible without obstructing his sight. Ten minutes later they were at the cafe. Alex greeted the girl behind the counter, who didn't even look twice at Oliver and they took their table.

Oliver picked at his fingernails, he felt really nervous. "I'm so sorry about the photographers, I've no idea why they were here." Alex laughed "Eh because you're famous" Oliver gave a sad smile "Yeah I suppose, I mean I know it's their job but it can get tiring when they just constantly follow you and pick you apart. Every move you make is watched and criticised and then it's even harder trying to protect the people that are with you."

Alex looked at him, really looked at him. He was smiling but it was a sad smile. He was one of the best looking guys she had ever seen but he also looked tired. "I can't say I know what it's like but I do understand how tiring it must be. I was in a strange situation a while back..not the fame part obviously but being followed and having to constantly look over your shoulder. I'm not sure if Torin mentioned it to you before but my ex was a real piece of work." Oliver wasn't sure what to say so he didn't say anything, he just shook his head. She was opening up to him and he didn't want her to stop talking. He enjoyed listening to her. He signalled for her to keep talking, she told him the story of Mark and by the end of it he had gripped the table so hard that he thought it was going to break.

She was visibly shaken as she spoke about everything that she had gone through, he knew she hadn't told him everything though because there was parts in the story when she paused as If she was thinking about what parts she should tell him about. He sat watching this amazing woman talking about all of the shit she had been through with her ex and he wanted nothing more than to get up and hug her.....if he was being honest he wanted to kiss her too but he wouldn't do that to her...or his friend.

The waitress had taken their order half way through their conversation, she was back now with the food and coffees. As they started eating Alex asked Oliver about himself. He told her about his life growing up and how he got into acting. He was just in the middle of a story about his first acting job when her phone rang. She apologised before answering.
