you were picked to sing a solo during the school festival. instead you begged our music teacher to let me play the guitar with you which i, at first, had refused to. but i didn't have the heart to put a frown on your face.

" as i try to fit in a world that keeps getting bigger ", your voice filled the place. my heart swelled hearing you sing. " but as if we're matching the scattered pieces together ", i sang softly, anxiousness lacing my voice.

" you're my missing my puzzle piece ", we sang together, smiles could be seen in the audience as some nodded along with us.

" you became a scene in the world that i always tried to fit in by myself ". we had come up with the song together, our relationship as inspiration. i had decided then. this was our song, our very own song that we had made and meant so much to us.

" may we never lose each other, my missing puzzle piece ". the last strums of the guitar echoed as applause erupted. it was safe to say we had done great. you pulled me in, jumping up and down. " we did it min ! we did it ! ".

i'd do anything to hear you sing and protect that smile on your face.
