Chapter 04: DEBATE

My second period this afternoon is now over and I'm now headed to my Psychology class. I'm now with my sister, Cexia, Luna and Ivan who's talking nonsense.

“If I punch myself and got hurt, does it mean that I'm strong or weak?” Luna asked them.

“You're strong!” my sister said proudly.

“You're weak” Ivan said while smirking.

Cexia snort before looking at Luna, “You're stupid” she said before running, saving her life.

“Anong sabi mo!?”

“Are you deaf or what? Duh!”

“Bumalik ka dito, punyeta ka!!” they are now chasing each other as the two who left behind started to laugh. I mentally facepalm and enter my perspective room for this hour.

I sat at the back near to the window to relax my mind. I look around and find my classmates busy with their works, as for my sister and friends, they're going crazy over something god knows what.

I turned to face the other side, once again on my position earlier. Arms folded while my face buried on my arms.

Time passed, the bell rang indicating that the next subject was about to start. I looked at the front and ready myself to listen on what's my professor was about to say.

“Good afternoon, class. Mr. Kylander as your Psychology teacher!” he said cheerfully while smiling. We great him back as he start the lesson.

“Who knows about Psychology? Anyone?” he asked smiling at us.

I raise my hand and stand up. “I know Psychology, Sir. It is the study of the mind and behavior to understand such thing as what we think and feel, how we learn and change and why we act the way we do” I said as his smile grow bigger.

“Very good! Mr. Silvan”

I love reading psychologist facts kaya naman kahit future lawyer ako ay may alam parin ako tungkol sa Psychology. Bukod sa hobby ko ang pagbabasa ay may relative din akong psychologist na kasalukuyang namamalagi sa Japan kasama ng kaniyang buong pamilya.

"What do you call a scientist who study psychology?" He asked.

“Psychologist, Sir” Half of students here in this classroom answered.

“What do you know about psychologist?”

“Psychologist focus on individual person, either alone or in relation to other people and to the environment” someone spoke that caught my attention. I looked at the front and saw Lilith with her proud smile. I guess, sya ang sumagot. Can't believe na kaklase ko pala sya in this subject.

“Very good! what's your name again?” our professor asked the new student.

“Lilith Hernandez po, Prof Kylander” she said politely. Mr. Kylander nodded and smile before looking at us again.

“What are the four goals of psychologist?”

“Description, explanation, prediction and modification change of behavior, Sir” I and Lilith answered simultaneously that made him smirked.

He close the book and stand up. Kumuha siya ng isang white board marker at lumapit sa board upang magsulat.

‘The psychologist debate; What is more powerful? Heart or mind?’ 'yan ang isinulat niya sa board bago bumalik sa pagkakaupo.

“Debate!? Ohh that's why he's smirking, huh?” Cexia said and looked at me then Lilith before smirking. Weirdo.

“So.. why don't we have a debate!? It's seems interesting, right?” he asked with a hint of sarcasm.
