Kaoru Sakuryashiki was a serious twenty-six-year-old who had a reasonable job. He was a man who seemed to be rooted in both modern and non-modern ways. This could be seen in how he often wears kimono for his job and how he uses his AI to help him in his job. At S Cherry Blossom is the perfect mix between cool with a side of cold. Plus with his looks that include his cherry blossom-colored hair, golden eyes, and a strong build despite a somewhat female look upon first look he was expected to be an amazing lover both in a relationship and in bed. This can be heard from the comments that are made about him the moment he walks in. Yet even Kaoru had a secret that being the fact that he was hopelessly in with the dopey gorilla that was his best friend Kojiro Nanjo. A man who never seemed to leave without at least one woman on his arm. Someone Kaoru had known since childhood and a man who has been with Kaoru through everything. Now on a normal day, Kaoru's love with Kojiro was already a problem but it was made even worse on Valentine's Day. For it was normal for women to crowd around Kojiro as they all tried to get into his pants even for one night. But on Valentine's Day, it was even worse as they all tried to thrust both their love and chocolates on him. This meant the woman around Kojiro was even more and the scent of their perfume was even more on him than usual. Something that Kaoru hated and reminded Kaoru how all of them could have Kojiro while Kaoru couldn't. This had been a fact that Kojiro had been forced to face since puberty hit because every valentine's day since then chocolates would fall into Kojiro hands with a number of confessions. Now while Kaoru had his own admirers all he had wanted was Kojiro. Someone he could never have at least so he had thought.......

Kaoru's twenty-sixth valentine's day seemed to be like every year. Even though there was S that night Kaoru had been wondering whether or not he should skip. But he later decided against it and went as per usual. The moment Kaoru entered S he could see that Kojiro was already flocked by women holding chocolates. This caused Kaoru to feel a ping in his heart. He tried not to look towards that group but he couldn't stop looking as he was once again reminded that he could never do that. He could never give Kojiro valentine's day chocolates after all he was the short-tempered best friend/rival and nothing more. After a while of rejecting his own admirers and getting tired of the sight, Kaoru decided to leave. From there he went to autopilot mode, as he went on his motorcycle and rode around for a while. Before he went back to his apartment and began to try and watch something that would get his mind off of what the day was. Kaoru had just been about to forget when he heard his doorbell ring. Kaoru was tempted to ignore it but after several rings, he got up and went to the door finding Kojiro standing there with a thick bag in hand. "Hey four eyes," Kojiro greeted in a voice that Kaoru hated. The voice sounded softer then Kaoru would have ever wanted. Kaoru crossed his arms against his chest. Ready to pretend that he wasn't happy to see Kojiro.

"What do you want you dopey gorilla," Kaoru asked as he continued to guard the door.

"Can't I come and see you without any reason"

"Why would you consider all of those offers I am sure you got," Kaoru said his arms still crossed.

"All of them that I rejected"

"And why would you do that?"

"Would it be so wrong if I just wanted to spend time with someone I care about"

"Considering you usually take up any offer I am surprised"

"Rude considering I brought you food," Kojiro said and with this comment, Kaoru peered into the top of the bag to see a boxed thing from Sia La Luce. After Kaoru saw this he gestured Kojiro in as they both went to Kaoru's kitchen table. After that, the two didn't say anything else as Kojiro began to unpack the food only for there to be chocolates which he then handed to Kaoru.

"What are these for?"

"There for you who else would they be for"

"Well they could be leftovers from the leagues of women that I am sure that asked you out or more"

"As I told you before I rejected all of them and with the way you are sounding I might think you are jealous," Kojiro responded without thought. Kaoru had at this point started to dig into his food now stopped. He considered his two choices either he continued to let this lie go on or he could finally speak up for once. At this point what did he have to lose this was the main reason that Kaoru would say what he did. It would be because of this that the course of Kaoru and Kojiro's would change forever after this day.

"So what if I am? What if I am tired of pretending I don't love you. What would you do then?"

"Then I would kiss you," Kojiro answered with a warm smile.

"Yeah right stop joking we both know that you aren't into men much less a skinny cinnamon stick boy like me," Kaoru said with a laugh not believing what Kojiro said. As he was so sure that Kojiro would never feel that way about him.

" You don't really think that do you Kaoru," Kojiro asked with a hurt look on his face.

"What would it matter if I did? I mean why else would you give me chocolates? After all, I am just your best friend"

"And if I wanted you to be more than just my best friend? What would you do then," Kojiro asked with a look so full of fondness and love Kaoru thought he might drown in it. It would be at this moment that everything that has happened between them would click. All of those moments full of soft looks, all of those near confessions, all of those not date trips, and everything else that has been shared between them, to even their first moment. It was also at that moment that Kaoru made another choice that was to take a chance on this and not let it slip away or turn out as it had been with ADAM.

"Well if that were the case then I would tell you to kiss me already"

"Always the demanding one aren't you princess," Kojiro asked?

"Yet for some reason you seem to like me. So I suppose you seem to have the poor choice as expected from a dopey gorilla such as you"

"First of all I love you and you seem to love me as well. So if I have a poor taste what would that say for you?"

"Well as you know I have always been generous especially to the like of dopey gorillas"

"You are such a butt you know"

"Whatever you say," Kaoru said as he got even closer to Kojiro as they were mere inches from kissing. The tension was palpable until finally one relenting something that would be switched depending on who was telling the story. But all that was known and that was mattered was that after that day Kaoru no longer had to pine in secret for he had the one thing he had always wanted. Plus the jealousy that he would get could now result in certain things becoming a little more interesting. But those are stories for another time all that mattered was that Kaoru and Kojiro had each other just as it always should have been and always would be until the end of their days. But not without its fair share of trouble and fights but those are stories for another time.

A/N: So I had to write this at kinda the last minute seeing as I hadn't planned to write a valentine's day chapter, but it hit me and I was like I had to write this. This is what resulted in me writing this chapter. So yeah I hope you enjoyed reading this and see you all next update.
