"Fuck", you sighed as you walked out of the nightclub called "Hell Cat".
It was super hot in there and it was cloudy with all the smoke escaping from the mouths of drunk men.

You pulled your phone out of your side purse.

MESSAGE:
12AM
Dahlia: You sure you want out? I just want to make sure you get home safe! I was about to leave anyways ;(

You: Yeah I'm okay. I'm getting a taxi home. Phone is dying, but I have my knife on me.... Text you when I'm home and please don't drink too much!

Dahlia: Sounds good. Jacob is taking me home soon anyways he said it smells in here XD!

END*

Your phone then shut off.

You shuddered at the harsh cold winds escaping the night. The club was in the middle of town and usually clubs here are open till 4am, so you shouldn't have a problem getting a taxi.

In front of the club was a street full of cars beeping. It was a Friday night so it was assumed to be busy.

You stumbled to the side of the road. I mean you are a LITTLE tipsy. You are a lightweight anyways and you hardly drank anything.

You glanced at the street as the cars passed by quickly searching for those green taxis.
Minutes went by and you hadn't found a single one.

You sighed.

"Can't even call a fucking Uber", you muttered.
You kicked the floor with your heels in a angry tone.

You glanced at the road again. There's no way you can hitchhike.
First of all, you're basically drunk. Second of all, you're a woman. Third, oh yeah you're a WOMAN alone at night with a dead phone and nobody to help.

You seemed kinda screwed either way since it's either get in a car with a stranger or walk alone.
On top of that, there's some "Vigilante" roaming the streets killing anyone and you mean ANYONE who breaks the law.
So if you mistakenly J-WALK.... you're dead.

You were willing to take your chances though. Not like he's going to find you anyways in this crowded town. And you're a weenie, so you've never really broken the law anyway.

Your home is literally only a few blocks away in this tiny town. Around 4 blocks tops.

You debated if you should go back inside and wait for Dahlia to leave and ask for a ride, but you know how she is. She says she's leaving soon, but NEVER does. Plus it was her anniversary with Jacob so you didn't wanna third wheel anymore than you already have.

"Screw it", you said as you began walking home. The sidewalks were full of people leaving restaurants and entering them. Also, there was already a huge line for the club you just exited.

The air felt so good and was such a relief from the hell hot club. They had the heater cranked up, but it was so tiny that the body heat of people probably made it 20 degrees hotter.

Never going there again.

20 minutes go by*
The streets were empty. Not a person in sight.
That's how it was on the part of town you were on now. Mainly just neighborhoods and small family owned stores that are closed already. Some left their lights on. They were mainly like those dollar stores and hair supply stores. One you actually liked going to because you LOVED dying your hair.
