AURORA QUICKLY PARKED her car shutting the door as she got out with an annoyed huff. She had arrived back at the school for the game kind of late and she was very disappointed in herself. One thing her father had always taught her was to be on time. Being on time meant that you were reliable and for some reason, even though she had just met Scott and Stiles, she wanted them to know they could rely on her if they needed to.

They weren't anything special though. She wanted everyone to know they could rely on her if they needed someone. Which was why when she had heard the sound of crying, she was dead set on finding where it was coming from. Her search came to an end when she spotted a strawberry blonde, Lydia Martin, sitting in her car alone, tears falling down her face.

Approaching the car, she knocked on the window resulting in the girl jumping before rolling down the window. "What?" Lydia snaps.

"I, uh didn't mean to scare you. I just heard you crying and I wanted to make sure you were alright." Aurora sates.

"You heard me crying with my windows up and my doors shut?"

"I have really good hearing... Are you ok?" She questions.

"You don't even know me, why would you care?" The girl sniffles, looking up at Aurora.

"What kind of person would I be if I left another girl crying alone in the parking lot?" Aurora furrows her eyebrows. "That completely goes against girl code." She states. "I'm Aurora."

"Aurora Dean? The girl everyone has been talking about all day long. Your big news." Lydia smiles sarcastically.

She wasn't meaning to be rude to the girl but all day she had been hearing people mention her. The way she looked, the way she acted, how smart she was, how well she dressed. It was all making Lydia feel as if she was gonna have competition. After what she had been through, the last thing she wanted was to compete for everyone's admiration, Lydia Martin was the top girl in school. That was something the Martin girl always had to fall back on no matter how crazy her life got. And based of the way Aurora was looking down at her with a small friendly smile on her perfectly carved face, it seems like the most of the rumors were true.

"More like old news. I grew up here but I moved away for a while and now I'm back." Aurora speaks.

"Aha, I thought your name sounded familiar. Your dad burnt up in that house fire didn't he?" Lydia nods before her head snaps towards Aurora. "Oh my god that was so rude. I'm sorry...I'm Lydia."

Although it her comment had really gotten under her skin, Aurora smiled at Lydia, clenching her fists to hold in the smart remarks she could say to the girl. "You wanna talk about why you're crying?"

Lydia sighs, her hands tightening around her steering wheel. "Do you ever feel like your going crazy sometimes?"

"All the time. There's nothing wrong with it though, especially with the world we live in. What makes you feel like that?"

"I got attacked a little while ago at our winter formal and I was in the hospital. I went missing in the woods for a couple of days. I don't really remember anything but since then I just feel like I've been going insane." Lydia explains.

She wasn't sure why she was telling Aurora all her problems. She just knew it felt good to get it all off her chest. Considering the red haired girl wasn't looking at her like she was bat shit crazy, it seemed like she chose the right person to finally confide in.

"I think it's perfectly normal for you to be feeling the way you are. You went through something horrible and it was probably very traumatic for you. You're not rubber, Lydia, you're not just gonna bounce back like nothing happened." Aurora speaks softly.

"My parents keep trying to force me to talk to the school councilor. I wish they would just understand that I need time to..." Lydia pauses, trying to find the right words.

"Deal with it? Let it sink in?" Aurora raises an eyebrow.

"Exactly, except I'm not sure if my trying to do that or if I'm just avoiding it."

"You're not avoiding it now." She points out. "You just need someone who you're comfortable with to talk to about it. Maybe you should give yourself a little time to warm up to the school's counselor before you shut it down. I'm sure your mom and dad just wanna make sure you have all the support you need."

"Great, you're not only pretty with a good sense of style but you're also good at giving advice." Lydia chuckles, wiping away her tears.

"I guess my good qualities just keep adding up." Aurora shrugs with a coy smile. "I hope your night gets better Lydia."

"Thank you."

Aurora sends the girl a nod before walking off, her heels clicking in the process. She really needed to hurry up and get to the lacrosse field. Making the impulsive decision, she speeds off towards the field, not noticing Lydia still watching her.

When she got to the field, the game was in full throttle. People were cheering as the players knocked into each other. Aurora had never liked watching people play such violent sports. She never understood what was so appealing about watching people hurt themselves and others just to win a game. With her being a hybrid, she tried to stay away from violent things unless it was completely necessary. Despite her thoughts on harsh sports, she ended up taking a seat beside a dark haired girl who was sitting with whom she assumed was her grandfather based off of how much older than her he looked.

"Hey uh, do you know which ones are Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski?" Aurora questions the young brunette.

"You know Scott and Stiles?"

"Eh, kind of yeah." Aurora shrugs. "They wanted me to come here and watch the game but I don't know which players they are."

"Scott is number eleven." The girl points to one of the players on the field. "And Stiles is number twenty four...but I'm not sure where he is."
