Giyu arrived at the Kocho estate. He took a deep breath before getting startled by Shinobu opening the gate
"Did I scare you, Giyu?" He nodded making Shinobu laugh. Shinobu saying his name made Giyu feel uncomfortable since it was so new but it didn't exactly feel bad
"Shall I go in?" Shinobu nodded before holding his hand and helping him enter
Something about them actually acting like a couple made their hearts beat faster
"Oh Sanemi is also here by the way" Giyu nodded before they entered the Kocho house
Shinobu and Giyu entered, removing their shoes and putting on slippers before going into the living room
The two saw Shinobu's parents eyeing them like hawks when they entered the living room
They entered the dining area and Giyu immediately bowed, preparing to introduce himself
"Sir, Ma'am, I'm Giyu Tomioka" He said before posturing up "Pleasure to meet you two" Giyu said before him and Shinobu sat down together
"Are they actually dating?" Sanemi whispered to Kanae and she shrugged "I don't think so but Shinobu insists" Kanae said and Sanemi nodded
"I want it to be true but I just have a weird feeling about it" Kanae said
"So you're Shinobu's boyfriend?" Kozue asks with a smile while Moriko had disapproving eyes pointing towards him
Kozue bumped his elbow on Moriko's arm, telling her to be more welcoming
"Yes sir" Giyu said with an uncharacteristic smile, kinda creeping Shinobu out
Not because he looked weird per say, it's just because he never usually smiles
"For how long? I know the school year hasn't been going on for that long now" Kozue asks
"We started dating about two months ago but only became boyfriend-girlfriend a month ago, sir" Giyu explains and Kozue nods
"How did you two meet, Giyu?" Moriko asked, keeping eye contact with Giyu "At the first day of school, ma'am" Giyu said
"We didn't actually talk though until a couple weeks later since I'm quite introverted but eventually we did have our first conversation" Giyu explained further
Moriko was about to ask more questions but was cut off by her husband
"Well enough with the questioning. This is dinner after all. Let's eat" Kozue says making the others nod before starting to eat
For a few minutes, all of them peacefully ate with small talk here and there but Moriko had prepared to question them
Not only Giyu anymore, but also Sanemi. Moriko had already questioned Sanemi before Giyu arrived since he arrived early but she planned to ask some good questions
"Sanemi, why did you ask Kanae out?" Moriko questioned. Sanemi quickly gulped the food in his mouth before preparing to answer
"It's because she's the most complete package, ma'am. She's beautiful, smart, compassionate, and kind" Moriko nodded before looking over to Giyu who was drinking his water
"How about you, Giyu? Why did you ask Shinobu out?" Moriko asked him and he prepared to say what him and Shinobu practiced yesterday
"Of course Shinobu's beautiful ma'am but what made me really want to ask her out was her personality. Shinobu's sometimes annoying and teases a lot but she has a kind heart deep down and is very fun to hangout with" Giyu said, adding a little freestyle at the end
Shinobu pumped her hands. Giyu was successful in doing what they practiced
"I was also drawn to her, ma'am" Giyu continued, surprising Shinobu "After we started talking, I always wanted to talk to her, hangout with her, and spend time with her. No one else had that effect on me before, ma'am" Moriko nodded
Shinobu's heart stopped at what Giyu said. Even though she knew it was not true, what Giyu said still made her heart flutter
What she didn't know was that it was totally true and Giyu meant everything he said
"You seem to really like Shinobu" Moriko commended, switching from her strict look to an ammused look "You too, Sanemi" The two smile and nod
"Giyu, I don't know if this is appropriate but..." Shinobu prepared for a stupid question from her mom
"Have you two kissed yet?" Giyu was clearly shocked by the question "Mom!" Shinobu exclaimed making her parents laugh
"Okay, I'm sorry. But really, have you?" The two shook their heads "No need to be emberrassed. I won't shame you two" Moriko assured
"Honey" Kozue said, trying to keep her in check "It's fine dad"
"We're not hiding anything, we really haven't kissed yet" Shinobu said making Moriko disappointed
"When are you planning to kiss my precious baby, Giyu?" He choked up his water at the question
"Honey!" Kozue exclaimed in whisper form "Sorry Giyu, this is how she really is" Kozue tried to recover the situation
"So Giyu..." Shinobu cut her mom off "Are you not going to ask those two the same questions?" Shinobu asked, her tone showing her slight frustration at her mom
"They've been together for a year already, Shinobu. There's no need to ask such questions" Moriko explained
Kanao left the table to go to her room. Nobody noticed that she was even there and that she even left because of how quiet she was
"I really don't want to ask you this but your mom wants the two to stay the night" The two faceslapped and glared at their mom
"So what do you two say?" The two were quiet and hesitant but after the sisters reluctantly bumped them in the shoulder, they agreed
"Why do you want me to stay the night?" Sanemi whispered "Just do it. Maybe it'll help us with being approved by mom" Kanae explained
"That's great! Please don't feel pressured to do it though for my sake. If you don't want to, it's fine" The sisters rolled their eyes
