Being powerless here in our world is a terrifying, because you're being useless in the society if happened your power is totally gone.

If the authorities learned about this, they will grant you a death sentence!

"You stubborn brat!" I said that made his eyes widened. "Your not powerless, you just have to rest to regain your power. Stop thingking that your power is gone, " I said while guiding him inside the house.

"What did you call me?" He said firmly.

"Stubborn brat!!!" I repeat that made him really shocked.

I'm not scared to you anymore since you can't summoned your bow! I laughed at myself.

"Napakapasaway mo kasi, ilang beses na kitang sinabihan na magpahinga ka. You want your powers back right? Then eat." I arranged the foods I got from the cafeteria.

"don't you know that we're not allowed to sneak foods from our Cafeteria?" Umangat ang tingin niya saakin. "I risked my life just to get you something to eat and you don't even want it," umiwas ako ng tingin then I pouted.

Then suddenly I saw him eating the footlong that made me smile. He silently eating without expression I can't say if he likes the food I got for him but he almost finished it all.

"Masarap ba?" maligaya kong tanong.

"This is not my preferred foods to eat but if you say you risked your life getting this all, uubusin ko," my heart skipped beat after he said that. I don't know there's something in him that made my heart really in pounding maybe because he's a stranger.

"Since you're here in my house, can I ask for you name?" I asked him while he's there eating. Tumigil siya para sumagot.

"Arkhum," he answered then continue eating. Finally, I got his name!

"Then Arkhum, what are you doing in the forest last night? It seems like you're from a battle," I stated that made him stopped in eating. It made him silent. "I-It's okay if you don't want to talk about it." Bawi ko. "Ano nalang pala role mo? because I'm curious, I thought you're a warrior but you possessed skills in archery. Maybe you're from highest position-,"

"No, I'm not," putol niya sa sinabi ko.

"Then... what are you?,"

"I'm just another least important role, that's all I can say," and he's back eating again.

"I see." I respond.

I shut myself throws questions to him, even if my minds is not cleared yet. It seems like he's uncomfortable to tell a story and I don't want to force him since he's in recovery.

"Ah! What your preferred foods to eat? Kasi alam mo ba mamayang tanghalian ang menu roon ay lechon! Pinahanda ni Imyrryr para saamin. Gusto mo ba iyon?" Sabi ko at nang angat siya ng tingin.

"Imyrryr? Your stating his name like you're friends with him."

"I am. We're friends. We know each other since we're child." I responds that made his eyebrows rose.

"Really?" He slanted his head, i find him really handsome by doing that. I wonder who's his parents? I bet they're very good looking for producing this kind of God like man.

I felt my cheeks reddened and it made me have my hiccups! My eyes widened. What's the hell is meaning of this!

I immediately stand up to go get water.

Magugustuhan mo rin ang

"I-I'll just p-prepare some bags to get you lunch later, " i excused myself to go to my room.

I left the house when the lunch time came. Nasa likod ko nakapila si El-Ysa. I tried really to get more lechon but she's watching me! Hindi nalang ako kakain ng lechon at kumuha naman ako nang maraming deserts because I like it but I'll just reserved it for Arkhum since he's a picky eater.

"Granny, is there any other hidden roles in our society? Like someone has a skill in archery?" I asked Granny while multitasking putting foods inside the bag.

I know he can answer my question because he's the oldest person here. I caught El-Ysa watching me again!!!

"Where did you get that?" Bulong nito.

"S-Sa libro po," sagot.

" Ang mga ganyang role ay alam kong malapit na mawala. They're called Assassin, someone who has skills in archery. Their blood is not that really powerful kaya mahirap sakanika mag parami ng lahi and it's rare having that kind of role nowadays. Kaya wala rin saatin ang role na iyan at pumalit ang mga sorcerers."

"So they have a same position with the sorcerers? " Nanlalaki kong mata na tanong. I remembered I called Arkhum a stubborn brat!

"Dati pa iyon, since the sorcerers are very effective when it comes to assassination and the assassin are extinct, pumalit sila. Later on, they never sees assassin as an effective anymore they became the least role same goes to us," he explained.

So totoo ang mga sinabi niya saakin kagabi. I feel bad for him. I can't imagine myself witnessing how Healers will extinct. That's why I'm glad that we have strong blood even we don't have really much help when it comes to battle aside from healing.

"That's the things I know about the extinction of Assassins here in Lacriema. I don't know in other country. Why are you so curious? Have you encounter pure Assassin?" Granny asked that made my eyes widened. I hate lying but I have to.

"I'm just curious because of the book I read about archeries that's all."

On my way home, dumaan ako ng forest to get some herbals for Arkhum and I'm planning to bring my self made bow and arrows to him. Maybe he's sad because he's now powerless and he can't even summoned his weapon.

After all, our powers is like our purpose here in our world and also gives happiness to us, without it it's like a death of us.

"Nasaan na ba iyon? Dito ko lang yun binaon," then suddenly saw where I hide it. Doon sa malapit sa may malaking puno.

The moment I get up because I finally holding my bow and arrows and I'm ready to go home. I heard someone's shoot an arrow. My eyes widened. Tumama iyon sa puno na kitatayuan ko, nanigas ako because it almost close to my head!

Maybe the authorities known about me trying to try other roles? But no one's in our Peacemakers knows how to shoot an arrow, so it's not definitely from our country!

The arrow is literally on my side because I'm standing behind the tree! Then I noticed that arrow holds a red cloth. I got curious because it has letters on it and I don't understand what's the message they trying to convey.

"Where did you get this?" Arkhum is now holding that arrow and eyeing the red cloth.

"In the forest! And It almost hit me!" I ranted. "Now tell me what the message is telling about?"

He just stared at me then it lowered to my bow and arrow that I'm holding.

"You know it's forbidden for a person like you to try other role right?"

"I know! I just tried to learn it's for the wild animals in the forest. If I get myself injured, I can't be able to heal myself alone!" I explained. "And... I'm lending this to you," his eyebrows rose. "Hanggang hindi mo pa mapagana ang powers mo, you can use this for mean time," nag iwas siya ng tingin hindi ko alam kung bakit.

"Show me your archery skills," he then finally turned to me just to say that.

"Aba ako ba hinahamon mo? Tara I'll show you," hinila ko siya palabas.

While taking my time to release my arrow. A gentle touch covered my hands and arms. My eyes widened. It sent shivers to all my body parts. It made my heart pounding. No one ever touched me like that!

"You're doing in a wrong way," he said gently to my ears while fixing my position. "There. Then release your arrow," he command.

Without ado I release my arrow at walang natamaan iyon! Kinain ako ng kaba kaya siguro nag mintis! Nakakahiya!

Nung kinagabihan.

"I wonder what's the red cloth message all about," I asked out of nowhere while I'm laying on my bed and he's in floor with a mat.

"It's from my country," he responds.

I didn't expect he'll answer that kaya napabangon ako at tinignan siya sa baba. His arms covering his forehead that showing his biceps and then his eyes are on the ceiling like he's thinking of something else.

"My granny told me that you're an assassin." I caught his attention that's why he's looking at me now. "It rarely to find someone like you since people like you don't have strong blood, upang magparami. We don't have assassins here in our country. What country you're from?" I said gently.

"From Edurash," sagot niya.

Edurash?
