Derek took Eli to the top of Baker Industries. Everything so far according to this plan was still in motion. He allowed Eli to go to the edge and look over at the city.

"You know, I'm pretty sure there was one minor detail your father probably left out about this building." He walked up towards Eli and stood next to him.

"What?"
"I'm the one that mentioned putting this penthouse. He thought it was a stupid idea, but I thought it'd be cool to have a part of the building look over the city we're trying to save." Eli's eyes widened.
"No way! You're like so cool!" He gave his uncle a tight hug. From behind Eli, Derek witnessed the three Demons hiding behind a generator, out of sight. He nodded to them and gave them a sly smile.

"You know, Eli, another thing I had installed in this penthouse was an invisible barrier along the edge, almost like a force field so no one would fall over."

"No way." Eli broke the hug and shook his head. "No way, there ain't no way you did that. That type of technology did not exist back then."

"Your uncle got skills, neph. Try it out." Eli stared at him, still not believing him. His uncle nodded toward the balcony, still prompting him to go forward. Eli walked slowly toward it, looking from the balcony to his uncle back to the balcony. He put his hand on it and leaned forward seeing how high he was. All the people and the cars at the bottom were like tiny ants to him. His heart raced and his hands went cold.

"Nah, I think imma take your word for it." Eli panicked.

"You don't trust me, Eli?"
"I do, I'm just scared of heights,"

"You're gonna be fine, trust me." Eli turned back around and leaned over once more over the balcony. Derek gestured to Amira, and she came out from behind the generator gun in hand. She aimed at Eli and smirked as she began to pull the trigger. As she pulled the trigger something from behind her startled her and the bullet rushed right pass Eli's ear. She turned around and seen Joe had fallen from behind the generator. He gave a nervous smile as he seen Amira's expression of anger. Eli turned quickly to the sound of the gun, but as he did his foot slipped and he fell over the balcony. He managed to grab hold of it and began dangling.

"Uncle Derek, HELPPP!!!" he screamed. Fear trembled through his body as he looked down to the ground. He prayed to God to not allow him to let go. His heart was banging out of his chest as his arms began to tire. Derek walkie talkie's his brother.

"Darrius get up to the penthouse now, and hurry!" He walked over to the Demons and took the gun from Amira.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Just follow my lead, all three of you on the ground now." He tossed the gun to the other side of the ground and rushed over to his nephew.

"I got you, Eli." He grabbed his arms and pretended to struggle. He grunted and struggled to pull him up. Darrius burst outside, not noticing the Demons, and rushed over to the balcony.

"I can't pull him up," Derek grunted. Darrius pushed him aside and reached over to grab Eli. Behind them, Amira rolled over, grabbed the gun from the other side, and shot Darrius in the leg. Darrius yelled in pain and nearly dropped Eli, but he held onto him with one hand. He pulled him all the way up.
"Run Eli, go!" Darrius shoved him forward to get him to run.

"Go on, Eli, me and him will hold him off." He grabbed Amira by the arm and tried to disarm her. Eli ran inside and hid behind furniture. Todd and Joe came out from behind and attempted to jump Darrius. Darrius punched Joe in the face, but Todd came from behind him and grabbed him. Darrius shoved him off and kicked him to the ground. Derek twisted Amira's wrist which forced her to drop the gun, and he pushed her to the ground. He grabbed the gun and pointed it towards her, backing up to be next to his brother.

"We make a good team man," Derek commented.

"Right to the end," Darrius smiled.

"To the very end." Derek turned toward his brother and shot him twice in the chest. A look of shock went on Darrius' face as he looked down at the blood on his chest and back up to his brother. He staggered backwards and eventually fell to the ground. Eli flinched at the sound of the gunshots and turned around to see his dad on the ground.

"DADD!!" Derek tossed the gun back to Amira so Eli wouldn't see it.

"Run, Eli! Run" Eli got up from his hiding spot and dashed down the hall.

"What now?" Amira asked. Derek wiped blood from his lip and smirked.

"Kill him." Amira cocked the gun and smiled.

"With pleasure." The Demons ran after Eli, but he was already outside. He put his hands to his knees and struggled to catch his breath as his whole body was shaking with fear. He looked around to see if he could get someone to call the ambulance until he looked behind him and seen the Demons running toward him. Eli took off running down the street as the Demons were right behind him. As the Demons gained on him, Eli turned a sharp corner and got on a nearby bus. As the bus took off the Demons appeared.

"What are we gonna do?" Todd asked.

"Don't flip, we're just gonna tell him we killed him." She opened the barrel and took out one bullet.

"He won't even know." She put it in her pocket, and they walked off.
