There, I'm disengaged. Disinterested and dissuaded.
It was dumb to entangle my deprived mind in such matters.
Dreams do tend to disappoint, now more than ever.
It is a touchy subject, a most contagious disease whose symptoms crack even the strongest posture,
Mine included.
To think that I ever believed in such a fairy tale. Love isn't a force! Love is only the result of some hormones being triggered inside of our bodies. It annoys me to hell that I can't control them.

Why do I have to lose any trace of nuance and self respect when she is near? What exactly is the benefit of becoming nervous every time I see her? It's absurd! Johnson, I have decided that I am 600% done with this bullshit. Let's hope this affliction goes away if I just stop thinking about it. I mean, what exactly is the benefit of this whole thing? Why would anyone ever want this fate?
"You could argue that it is a healthy emotion" Johnson said. "Giving your own feelings and desires a chance is not a bad thing, Jack. It would be good for you to leave your own world once in a while too, step back into reality and enjoy life. Aren't you at least a little bit tempted to go after her"? "To chase down this "affliction" as you call it. And allow it to become a beneficial part of your life? I mean hell, not to be an asshole, but you could use a woman in your life.
Drinking alone isn't the best way to spend your weekends." Johnson said with a concerned look on his face.

Jack sighed, "Fuck you and your advice John, I am perfectly able to live my own life and to make my own mistakes". "Hey, you won't hear me arguing about that, I'd be the first to admit your renowned skills in making mistakes." Johnson said with a smile. He lit another cigarette and stared at the smoke slowly floating up the darkened sky. He frowned and looked back at his partner. "Still, chasing angels can't be the worst thing to do. It may help you get some colour back in that dull life of yours. There is not a whole lot to lose, Jack." John stared at him, carefully reading his expressions before he gave his final argument. "She's pretty hot too". He said with a smile. Jack laughed, "That's a fact. She is funny too". He fell silent for a moment. "I'll think about it some more." He finally said.
"That's what I like to hear". John replied, whilst looking at his watch. "Anyway, I have to go man, can't leave the kids waiting." He threw his cigarette on the floor and crushed it with the tip of his shoe. "See you later, Jack. I really think you might have something here". He said, as he walked away.
