"You could say what happened in that theater is a direct result of the movie itself." I sat in Film Theory as we talked about the murders that happened last night at the theater. The premiere of Stab was last night. Two Windsor seniors were murdered during the movie. When I came out of my dorm building I was bombarded by reports. I'll admit my first thought was Stu and Billy. I haven't seen Stu since that night he stabbed his knife through my wall because he got overly possessive.

I had woken up the next morning to the knife still in the wall being the first thing I saw. I remember looking down at Stu and then back at the knife. It was the briefest of seconds that I thought if I wanted to I could easily get up and get the knife and kill him. Was I turned on by the whole thing? Yes. But I was all terrified. I didn't know how to process it at the time. I've been ignoring his calls and not letting him in my room when he comes. It's been months since that day.

"That is so Moral Majority. You can't blame real violence on entertainment," Cee Cee said. Cee Cee was a sorority girl but she was pretty cool. She wasn't the sobby stuck up kind of girl. I sat beside Randy, my left leg underneath me as I leaned forward.

"What? Wait a second. Yes, you can. Don't you even watch the news?"

"Yeah. Hello! The murderer was wearing a ghost mask, okay. Just like in the movie. It's directly responsible.

I shifted a little in my seat and Randy looked over at me. He gave a look silently asking if I was okay and I nodded.

"No it's not. Movies are not responsible for our actions." Cee Cee said. I had to agree with her in some way. It wasn't the movies that made Stu and Billy go on a killing spree back home. Did they watch a lot of horror movies? Sure. But they both are fucked up in the head. Billy wanted revenge for mine and Sidney's mother sleeping with his father causing his mother to leave. Stu was easy to pressure into helping him kill my mom and once he got a taste he couldn't stop. But these killings, if not Stu and Billy, might be someone trying to be them.

"Its classic case of life imitating art imitating life," Mickey said.

"This is not a hypothetical. It's not about art. I had biology with that girl. This is reality."

"Thank you. I agree with you. Let me tell you about reality, Mickey. We live through this, okay?" Randy gestured between me and him. I shifted in my seat again. "Life it life. It doesn't imitate anything."

"Come on, Randy. With all due respect, the killer obviously patterned himself after two serial killers who have been immortalized on film," Mickey said. "Thank you!" Someone said.

"Are you suggesting that someone's trying to make a real-life sequel?" The teacher asked. My mind goes right back to what Stu had said in the kitchen two years ago.

"Let's face it, baby. You gotta have a sequel."

They're whole plan was to make a sequel.

"It could be the original killers." Randy's head snapped towards me along with everyone else's. "Stab 2? Who'd want that? Sequels suck," Randy said. "True. But they're still alive. You heard Sheriff Burke at the hospital. They weren't in the house where we left them. Billy and Stu were making their own movie. Their plan was to survive and make a sequel. And it looks like we might end up in it. I'm one of the final girls and you're the geek who got lucky."

Everyone started complaining about us saying sequels suck. "Oh, please. Please! By definition alone, they're inferior films," Randy said. "It's a bullshit generalization. Many sequels have suppressed their original," Mickey got all defensive. That was a little odd to me. "Oh, yeah? Name one," I said. "Aliens. Far better than the first," one of the guys said. "Yeah, well, there's no accounting for taste," Cee Cee said. "Thank you. Ridley Scott rules. Name another," Randy said. Sequels were names and laughs were had before the teacher dismissed the class. While I was packing up I saw Sidney standing at the door.

I nudged Randy and he looked up. As we were walking towards the door one of the girls stopped Randy. "So, Mr. Originality, how would you make it different?" She asked. "I'd let the geek get the girl," he said and sprayed breath freshener in his mouth before wrapping an arm around my shoulders and walking over to Sidney. "What a loser!" I laughed.

As we walked out Sidney expressed her concerns. Randy already had to go through this with me. He didn't seem to be too concerned about it. He didn't believe Billy and Stu were lurking around. He was doing some ridiculous accent as we walked. He really didn't care or think that this had anything to do with us. "You sound like an idiot, Randy. Stu and Billy are here. And they are watching us. I can feel someone always watching me.

Not to mention I've been sleeping with Stu for the year.

I was really starting to regret my decisions. I love Stu but I was reminded of what he is capable of. I wouldn't put it past him to kill me. He would do anything Billy asked him. I might have some power over him but in the end Billy had more power. And if Billy wants me and Sidney dead then that's what will happen. Stu will always help out his best friend no matter how much he loves me.

"You know what happened back home, Randy," I said. "I know. And I don't want to go back there again. Can't we just go back to our pseudo-quasi-happy existence?" He asked. "Hello, Derek. How ya doin?" Sidney's boyfriend came up to us. I didn't like the guy too much. He acted like he was the perfect guy. Med student, fraternity brother, respectful. He was all the things a girl thought she wanted.

"Hey, Sid. Y/N. I've been looking everywhere. I heard. You weren't in class," he said. He pushed past me and Randy, guiding Sidney away. Randy looked at me and rolled his eyes. I linked my arm with his and we followed after them. "I skipped. I couldn't take all the ''that's her.'' looks," Sid said. She looked back at me and said, "I don't know how you're doing it." I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Is there anything I can do?" Derek asked. I rolled my eyes. "Well, you got any tricks for getting me back to a pseudo-quasi-happy existence?" Sid asked. "I might just have one for that," he told her. I knew where this was going. Me and Randy stood there rolling our eyes as they kissed and then walked away. "Sorry, man. You will never get the girl. But, hey, you have me!" I said smiling. Randy shook his head and gave me a playful glare. "Come on, you love me," I said, fluttering my eyelashes.

Randy and I have been spending a lot of time together. I mean we used to spend time together all the time but as of late, it's been more than before. He walks me to class and back to my dorm at night. I was starting to worry I might have caught feelings for my best friend.

"I guess you're okay," he said. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer before kissing my temple. "Just okay? I mean I'm the greatest best friend in the history of best friends," I said as we walked after Sid and Derek. "I don't know. Let me get back to you," Randy said. He laughed at my gasp and fake hurt expression. I looked around feeling like I was being watched. I knew I was being watched. I knew Stu was somewhere watching this interaction and he was probably doing everything in his power to not come over and gut Randy right here.
