CHAPTER 4

It has been many years since Ryung Joo Eun also finished her Degree in Arts from Hanyang University. So far, Joo Eun has had the best life since she came here and met halmoni. She also got an offer to continue into PHD level because she is the top student. So, she was able to skip her Master level and go on a fast track.

JOO EUN POV

Today, I got ready for my graduation days. It was very fast a year ago. I am a graduate student Degree in Arts and I am already 24 years old. Sometimes, I also cannot imagine that my future will be like this. I really think that it was not worthless for me to keep defending myself and suffering myself in my past. I don't ever think about my abusive family. 

Because, inside me they are not my family. But they are demons that live in this world.

"Nae halmoni. Wait, I take my bag."

I go out of my room and see my halmoni already waiting for me. I see her eyes start in tears. Then I go close to her and also wipe the tears that have already fallen down.

"Halmoni, why? Do you feel unwell?"

"No, Joo. It is just overwhelming to see you today."

"Yah why? Today is supposed to be our happy day! After this I can help you Halmoni because after this I can work."

*hugs halmoni*

"Of course, Halmoni is happy. You already grow up. Sometimes, it was too fast for me."

"Hehehe. Halmoni-yah, I need to grow up fast because I want to make you happy, I want to take care of you and everything that I am able to do."

"You talk too much, Joo. Come let's go or you will be late."

"Yahh, is because of you Halmoni."

HALMONI POV

"I am proud of you, Ryung Joo Eun. After this, I can close my eyes with calmness. I am relieved that I am able to survive until now. After this, you must strongly continue your life, my beautiful granddaughter."

So, Joo Eun has her graduation day today. She walked on the stage proudly because she had achieved her dream. She takes her certificate and also has a photo on the stage. 

"Ryung Joo Eun has been awarded as The Best Student in Faculty Arts and Design."

When she walks, she has a gaze towards her Halmoni and Halmoni waves to her. The hall is full of clap sounds. She walks proudly and receives her certificate. 

JOO EUN POV

After I finish I take my certificate and I go straight to my halmoni. I hug her tightly.
