you were at the rooney household skipping with liv, something you never thought you would do but liv really wanted to hang out while she had the house to herself for the first time in a while.
liv thought the best way to spend the day was to watch some of her favorite rom coms. you weren't thrilled with rom coms but you got to spend time with liv and that was more than enough for you.
the two of you spent the rest of the day watching movies from 13 going on 30 to but i'm a cheerleader. the final movie the two of you decided to watch was dirty dancing.
it was the final scene and the infamous dance number was on. you turned towards liv as you saw her eyes brighten when the lift happened. liv paused the movie quickly and turned to look at you with a bright smile on her face.
"can we please try the lift!" she asks as excitement takes over her expression. you look at her with a slight frown as she gives you her puppy dog eyes which immediately makes you give in.
"you're lucky you're my best friend" you say under your breath as liv skips to the backyard saying "i know!" making you smile as you follow her out.
once you made it outside you were met with liv putting down a bunch of mats and pillows down which started to make you a bit nervous.
"i'm assuming you're playing baby in this scenario." you state as liv nods happily before moving back to the fence as you go across from her.
you nod at her ,signaling her to start running.
as expected.. you did not get the lift on your first try. liv kept falling onto the mats every time you attempted the move.
after a few more trys you decided it was time to take a break. liv sits next to you out of breath just like you. suddenly liv jumps up and smiles letting you know she has an idea.
"they didn't just practice on the floor... they did it in water!" liv says making you raise an eyebrow. "what are you getting at.." you ask skeptically
she looks at you with pleading eyes as you already know what she's going to ask you. "liv it is freezing." you say as her as she nods.
"well let's just try once more!" she says as she pulls you off of the floor making you nod. liv gets in her spot as you prepare yourself for potentially dropping liv.
she runs towards you as you lift her up but to your surprise she stays in the air as you hold her steady. "oh my gosh. hurry do the spin!" liv exclaims as you laugh and spin around before putting her down.
as soon as she's on the group she jumps into your arms taking you by surprise as she knocks you down onto the mat. you two stay in that position due to shock at how close the two of you are to one another in the moment.
liv looks at you almost as if she's asking something, you nod not even knowing what that could mean as she leans down and kisses you. you stiffen at first before smiling into the kiss.
she pulls away with a big grin on her face matching the one on yours.
"nobody puts baby in a corner" liv says making you laugh. "you're such a dork rooney" you say not being able to contain your smile.
