Chapter two

"Addie" I questioned as the women appeared into Charlotte's office, Addison appeared into sight and recognised who I was straight away and ran to come and hug me

"omg, Emmy. I've missed you so much" she told me as we embraced into a hug

"I've missed you too, I didn't know you worked here" I told her as we both sat back down on the couch next to Charlotte

"I didn't know you two knew each other?" Charlotte asked us both because I had just moved to LA

"Mark and Lexie looked after her until they passed for a few years and sometimes she would come and stay with me or Derek for a little bit. I'm sorry about them too darling. I know how much they meant to you and how much they both loved you" she told both me and Charlotte as a tear ran down my face which I quickly wiped away before anyone could see

"Thank you, it's nice to see you again. I've missed you" I told her as he embraced in a hug before she realised I was actually in LA in a doctors office

"Why are you here anyway? Your not pregnant are you?" She asked confused why I was here

"No no, well I moved in with my boyfriend and his family after Mark and Lexie and his dad got a new job so we've all moved here. Umm and Charlotte's my mom" I told her to which she stood up from the couch and dragged Charlotte outside and into a another room in the practice which I am guessing that's it's Addison's office. I decided to follow them out there and stand outside to see what Addie was going to say to her and I'm going to guess that's not going to be fun for Charlotte.

"So you're the person their amazing, smart, beautiful daughter and caused her to have a crap life until she met Mark and Lexie. You won't even know half of the stuff she has been through because you couldn't be bothered to look after her. That girl is so strong. Stronger than everyone single person in this practice put together and she's only 16. Now if you wanna be in that girls life and she let's you in and you throw that back in her face, you will have me to deal with Charlotte. I won't stand to let her get hurt again. Now go on and enjoy that amazing girl who is stood outside this office listening in and let her show you how amazing kind beautiful smart young lady she has grown to be" Addison practically screamed at my mom. She's right Charlotte doesn't know half my story only a few people did and now half of them are dead so we will say about probably 7 living people know all my story.

Addison then opened the door and let me in already knowing I had been outside the whole time and embraced me in a hug before she said her goodbyes and said she had a patient to see and she would text me later.

"I'm sorry but I need to leave now. I've got dance in an hour and need to get ready. It was lovely meeting you" I told Charlotte as I we walked back to her office and I grabbed my bag that was still on the couch

"Why don't I give you a lift back to your house?" She offered, I knew that it would save me money on calling an uber and at least she offering. I can't trap her out of my life after I was the one who came to find her? Can I?

"Umm yeah sure. Thanks" I told her as she grabbed all her stuff and we headed out

"Dell cancel all my clients for the next two hours" she told the boy upfront on the desk who I spoke to as I came in earlier

"Miss King are you okay? you never cancel on clients?" he asked as he looked up from his computer

"Yes I am sure. Just say there was an emergency. I will be back in a few hours" She told him as we walked onto the elevator

"You don't have to cancel all your clients for me, I don't mind getting an uber" I told her as I felt bad that she was just leaving her clients

"No it's fine, I haven't had my lunch today anyway so I can class it as lunch" She told me with a smile and then we walked to her car. I gave her the directions of my house and we drove in a comfortable silence since neither of us knew what to say

"So you dance?" was the first thing that she had sked me whilst on the car ride

"Yeah. I've danced all my life, it was the one thing that kept my life to some normality whilst I moved from place to place. I've done it all my life really" I told her. I would talk all day about dance but I didn't think she would be that bothered

"Okay so there is no pressure what so ever but Addison is having a get together tonight for all the staff and I wondered if you wanted to come? Obviously there is no pressure and if your boyfriend wanted to come the that is fine as well"

"Umm yeah we will come for a little, I'll get addie to text me her address after dance. Thanks" I told her just as we got in front of the house. we said our good byes and then I went inside to tell my boyfriend that he was meeting my mom tonight.
