"Hyewon I can't believe you failed to accomplish such a simple mission! Now we have to waste time waiting for another opportunity before we can get the tracker on him."

"Oh come on! It couldn't be helped! What was I supposed to do about the blackout and the evacuation?" she pouted.

"You could have found a way during the evacuation. Considering the amount of chaos and the large crowd you could have easily gotten it on him without him noticing anything. What were you thinking?"

"I bet she saw a pretty girl." Yujin snickered.

"Hey! Why do you always assume that I was chasing a girl?"

"Why are you so defensive? I must be right." Yujin smirked. "Who is she?"

"I don't know. It was a masquerade ball and I couldn't recognise her. She came alone."

"Aw that's sad. Don't worry, I'll find your Cinderella." Wonyoung grinned, running off in search of her laptop.

"You kids should stop fooling around and use your skills for something more useful." Chaeyeon sighed, watching as Yujin ran off gleefully with Wonyoung.

"Let them have fun, they're just kids. They'll grow up with time." Sakura chuckled, resting her hand on Chaeyeon's back.

Chaeyeon sighed, shaking her head.

Chaeyeon was Hyewon's boss. They had known each other for years. Despite the fact that Chaeyeon was older than her, she had taken Hyewon in when she was lost, not knowing what she wanted to do in life. Hyewon had found purpose in working for Chaeyeon. It technically wasn't honest work but she enjoyed the thrill and sense of satisfaction she got.

Hyewon was a spy. She had been one ever since she was a teenager. She was trained personally by Chaeyeon. Often, she was sent to recover information from people, sometimes drug dealers, sometimes politicians. They didn't question the nature of their job, they just carried out whatever their client wanted. Being in this line of work, they knew not to meddle with the business of others and get involved in places they shouldn't. As the saying goes, 'curiosity kills the cat' and Chaeyeon wanted to ensure that none of them got themselves into trouble.

"Your job is to tail a woman and report her activities back to us."

"Do you know what she looks like?"

"Yes I do. Whatever information I have on her is in this file. Review this when you get home so that you can be better prepared for your mission." Chaeyeon replied, handing her a brown envelope.

"In the meantime, would you mind watching the two cheeky monkeys to make sure they don't get into trouble? I have an errand to run and I don't trust them around my equipment especially when Yena is here."

"Sure." Hyewon replied, heading to the back in search of the teenagers.

It was to no one's surprise that they were lying on the bean bags in the corner typing away at their laptops with Yena peering over their shoulder.

"You know you're supposed to mentor them not encourage their antics right?" Hyewon chuckled, watching as Yena jabbed the screen in excitement.

"Of course I do! But I'm just helping them have fun. They will get into the serious stuff when they are ready for it." Yena shrugged, ruffling Yujin's hair.

Hyewon smiled, watching them chatter excitedly. She loved the dynamics of their group. They were like a big family and looked after each other as such. Chaeyeon was like the mother of the group with Sakura by her side. Sakura had always been the more gentle one, calming Chaeyeon down before she could scold the youngsters for fooling around. Hyewon felt well taken care of by Chaeyeon. She always treated her to good food, knowing how much she loved to eat and they would go out for supper as a group sometimes.

"Hyewon unnie, what do you know about your mysterious woman?"

"I literally don't knowing anything. She told me that her name was Eunbi but I don't know if that's her real name." Hyewon replied.

"That sucks, maybe you'll get the chance to meet her again one day. Considering how she was present at a high profile event you stand a good chance of bumping into her again at one of your missions." Wonyoung said.

"Unnie when are you going to actually get a girlfriend? You've been on so many dates with different people but none of them have actually stuck." Yujin asked, propping her head up as she stared at Hyewon.

"Yeah, when are you going to get someone like Sakura?"

Hyewon frowned. "I just haven't met the right person yet. These kinda things can't be rushed." She huffed.

"You're just saying that because you're still single after who knows how many years." Yena smirked, earning a smack from Hyewon.

"You're one to speak. How have things been going between you and Yuri? You two fight more often than any couple I've ever seen." Hyewon shot back.

"We're perfectly fine now. I just sent her flowers this morning." Yena grinned smugly. "You see, it takes skill and charm to get a woman. That's something you have yet to master unlike me."

"Yeah whatever." Hyewon replied, rolling her eyes. "Just wait till the two of you get into your next fight."

She spent the rest of the day helping Yena to train Yujin and Wonyoung in hand to hand combat. Being young, they had lots of energy to use up and were eager to learn. She liked teaching them. It reminded her of her days as a teenager when she was much more carefree. By the time she got home, she was ready to jump into bed and crash for the night but then she remembered the envelope that Chaeyeon passed to her earlier.

Her curiosity getting the better of her, she retrieved the envelope to see who was assigned to shadow. She pulled the papers out of the envelope and nearly dropped it when she saw its contents.

It was her.
