"It's so nice to have you two here," Laura smiled at her daughter.

"It's nice to be here," Olivia looked over, squinting against the bright sun.

"It's been kind of lonely with just your father and I," Laura went on. "I know he misses having you and your brother around, so you and Spencer are the next best thing. Well, Spencer is officially his son now."

"Well, we're having a great time," Olivia lied, knowing with one hundred percent certainty that one half of the we did not want to be staying at the Beverly Hills house.

It was just a couple days since they arrived from their honeymoon to discover that the renovations at their new home weren't complete. Having no where to go, they decided to stop by to see Olivia's parents. Then one thing led to the next, and Laura and Billy were insisting they stay here instead of getting a hotel.

"So tell me. How was the honeymoon? Did you guys like enjoy the Amalfi Coast?"

"No, yeah, we loved it," Olivia nodded at her drink.

"Did you guys go on that boat tour I recommended?"

"Ummm, you know, we didn't get the chance. Apparently, we needed a reservation, and by the time we tried, it was all booked up," Olivia rambled.

"That's a shame, what did you guys end up seeing instead?"

"We, um, we... saw the water," Olivia stuttered, "and, the food. The food was amazing. Lots of pasta, yeah."

"Ah," Laura caught on. "I guess it's been a while since my honeymoon."

"Mhm," Olivia uttered quickly, hoping that would be the end of this particular topic.

"Your father and I didn't do much either now that I think about it," Laura mused.

"Mom," Olivia groaned, sliding down lower in her lounge chair.

"As long as you two had fun," the mother shrugged, "I'm happy."

"Yup, we did," Olivia gave her a tight-lipped smile.

"Maybe too much fun and I'll become a grandmother sooner than I expected," Laura gazed out to the pool. She tilted her head. "I think I'm okay with that."

"No grandchildren yet," Olivia replied confidently.

"You never know. By the sound of it, we may be in for a surprise in nine months."

"Okay, this... has been lovely," Olivia stood, grabbing her drink and phone, "but I'll see you for dinner, yeah?"

A couple miles away, Spencer leaned his weight on his golf club while his new father-in-law took his sweet time practicing his swing.

"You guys are being safe, right?" Billy called out louder than necessary.

"Shit," Spencer muttered, looking over his shoulder to see if anyone was nearby. "Um," he cleared his throat, "yes sir."

"I expect no funny business with my daughter."

"I wouldn't think of it."

"And you were respectful on your wedding night."

Spencer shifted his weight between his feet, trying to find a comfortable stance in this very uncomfortable conversation. "Um, you do know we were together for years before getting married. We lived together, coach... you visited regularly?"

"And?" Billy turned to raise an eyebrow at Spencer.

"Very respectful," the football player course corrected, "couldn't have been more respectful."

Billy's club finally made contact with the ball and a loud clink broke the stillness. "That's what I like to hear."

A few nights later and one of the newlyweds was coping with the extended visit a lot better than the other.

"Just one more night," Olivia sat at her old vanity applying her nightly serums. "Then we'll be back home in our own bed."

"Liv, it's been five days," Spencer groaned, undressing behind her.

"You've gone five days before," she squinted at her reflection, noticing a blemish that hadn't been there the night before.

"Not with you laying next to me," he caught her eye in the mirror.

"Spencer, I'm not going to have sex with you in my parent's house," Olivia sighed, turning around on the stool.

"We did it here plenty of times in college," he crossed his arms, giving her a puzzled look. "And most of the time you started it."

"Yeah. When nobody was home. Not when my parents were sleeping two doors down."

"But we're married now," he helped her up, pulling her to him by her waist. "Married people have sex," he whispered into her neck.

She rolled her head back, letting his lips work down to her collarbone. "Okay, let's go down to Crenshaw and start there then."

"No, ma'am," he pulled away. "The infrastructure is much better here."

"See," she laughed, walking over to her side of the bed. "You don't want your mom hearing, either."

"We can be quiet," Spencer raised his eyebrows at her, confident in the argument he had going.

Loosening the tie of her robe, she shook her head slowly at him. "Tomorrow."

Unimpressed, Spencer groaned as he padded towards the light switch. Once the room went dark, he slipped under the sheets, scooting towards the center of the bed to hold his wife.

"I'll be quiet," he whispered into Olivia's ear.

"No," she mumbled, trying to close her eyes and ignore the bulge pressing into her back. The attempts were futile because the bulge only became firmer.

"Turn around, Spencer."

Accepting the same command he'd received for the past four nights, he rolled over, pressing his back against Olivia's so they could still maintain contact.

"I love you," she whispered into the darkness. "I promise tomorrow you can get whatever you want."

"Mhm," Spencer groaned.

Shaking her head, Olivia slid her arm under her pillow and drifted off to sleep.

At some point in the night, the urge to pee pulled Olivia from her slumber. They had shifted positions in the night and her leg was now hitched over his waist. Smiling at her husband sleeping soundly next to her, she couldn't resist the urge to pressed her lips against his chest.
